I came from the mountains with orchid grass. Plant it in a small garden and hope that the flowers will bloom well. This well-known campus ballad is inspired by the opening chapter of Hu Shih's poem "Hope". As we all know, gentlemen prefer orchids and often use orchids as metaphors for themselves, but today our focus is on a completely different existence from orchids - jacarandus.
Purple romance from the Americas
Jacaranda, also known as Emerald Tree in the garden world, has a homeland as far away as Mexico. As a perennial evergreen herb, it stands proudly and can reach a height of 1.2 to 1.5 meters. Its leaves are distinctive, linear-lanceolate, with either smooth or flawless edges or sparsely serrated edges. Several racemes are delicately arranged in panicles, and the flowers bloom gracefully between the axils of the leaves, and the corolla is shaped like a funnel, like a string of delicate blue-purple trumpets, which is pleasing to the eye.
The jacaranda gets its name from its most well-known blue-purple flowers. In recent years, horticulturists have cultivated two new varieties, pink and white, adding new colors to the jacaranda family. Pink-flowered jacaranda is quite common, but the white jacaranda is still a rare treasure.
The jacaranda has a long flowering period, from March to October. However, the life of each flower is so short. They usually bloom in the early morning, bow their heads shyly at noon, and at four or five o'clock in the evening, they quietly wither and complete their lives. But it is this ephemeral splendor that has created the indomitable vitality of the jacaranda. They go from day to day, blooming new flowers, hence the name "Day by Day", symbolizing eternal hope and rebirth.
Flowers that will say good morning
Jacaranda also has a romantic nickname - "the flower that says good morning". When you step out of the house in the early morning, you encounter the lush blue flowers, only to see the green leaves, the flowers are dotted with stars, they gently sway in the summer morning breeze, like blue-purple butterflies fluttering, gentle and elegant, as if whispering to you in the distance: "Good morning". Starting your day in such a setting will undoubtedly make you feel like you've stepped into a blue-purple dream.
The cherry blossom viewing place in the port city
Nowadays, in all corners of Fangchenggang City, whether it is a green belt, a park, or a residential area, jacaranda grass has become a common scenery. In order to let everyone better appreciate the beauty of this blue-purple color, Wenlujun specially recommends several viewing spots for blue flowers and grasses.
