The front end of the new Kia K3 uses the latest family-oriented design, which is officially called the Tiger Roar front end. The front grille, lower surround and headlights have all been upgraded.
The chrome trim is almost erased from the body, and the front of the car is decorated with a lot of black trim, which is very similar to the K5, which is very completely blackened, and looks young and sporty.
The details of the front grille and LED headlights are well done, and if you look closely, you will find that the inside is still that kind of tough line, which matches the overall feeling of the new car.
The new Kia K3 hasn't changed much in terms of body size, the length has been increased by 6mm, and the width, height and wheelbase are the same.
The 17-inch two-tone aluminum alloy wheels have a sportier shape, and are matched with four Nexen tires, the series is NPrizAH8, which focuses on wear-resistant and comfortable, and the tire specifications are 225/45R17.
The rear of the car has also undergone minor changes, with a more combative rear bumper and a black trim strip above the tailgate, which is more fashionable than the old model after simple adjustments.
Adjustments and upgrades to the interior are also significant, with the main changes focusing on the two screens and the area under the centre console. The instrument panel has been upgraded to a full LCD one, which is larger in size and has better definition. The interior can also be viewed with a wealth of information, such as tire pressure, multimedia, driving assistance information, and so on.
The shape of the multi-function steering wheel has not changed, except that the GT-Line logo has been removed from the old model, and it is worth mentioning that the matte leather fabric feels good.
In terms of the central control screen, the touch buttons at the bottom of the screen are placed in the air conditioning control area, and the top has become a complete floating large screen, with improved size and clarity.
There have been changes in the style and layout of the gear area, the most obvious is the change to the gear lever shape, which feels better than the old model, and the size has also been reduced, and it feels a lot more spacious here.
The control buttons around the gear knob have been replaced with touch controls, and the seat heating/ventilation and steering wheel heating buttons have been placed here, but the driving mode selection is a lever, which is very good and convenient for the driver to operate blindly.
The storage slot has been re-planned, and the interior is not particularly deep, so that the mobile phone can be placed horizontally here for wireless charging, and the location of the charging port and 12V power supply is also more obvious.
With the exception of the lowest-spec variant, all other variants are equipped with an electric sunroof, which is also the same size. The interior space of the trunk is still relatively regular, the rear seats support proportional reclining, and the folding handles are provided on both sides of the trunk, with convenience +1.
Although the horsepower has increased, the 10 horsepower will only be visible when the engine speed reaches 6000rpm, so the car's acceleration at low speeds has not changed much, and the daily cruising in the city is basically the same.
Compared with the 1.5L+CVT version, the 1.4T model performs much better at low torque, and it is still easy to do an acceleration overtaking maneuver at medium and low speeds. However, the problem of slow response has not improved, and the car is still a little hesitant to deal with sudden acceleration, and the gear is not very accurate. The steering is still the same, the gain with the speed is good, the feel is delicate, the middle void is not big, and it feels very easy to drive every day.
The suspension form has not changed, it is still a combination of front MacPherson and rear torsion beams, and the fine bumps on the road surface are well filtered, and it is completely oriented towards domestic comfort.
