Qi Baishi's Four Seasons Screen is one of the precious collections of Tsinghua University Art Museum. "Four Seasons Screen" size: 132 cm long, 32 cm wide, 4 pieces. Qi Baishi (1863-1957), a native of Xiangtan, Hunan, was a famous calligrapher, painter and seal carver in modern times. His original name was Chunzhi, the word Weiqing, and later changed his name to Huang, the word was on the verge of life, the name Baishi, and the alias of the owner of the Borrowing Mountain Yin Pavilion, the old man Jiping, etc. Qi Baishi's artistic achievements are extremely high, and he was the chairman of the Chinese Artists Association. His works combine traditional freehand painting and folk painting expression techniques to form a unique artistic style.

The theme of the four seasons is spring, summer, autumn and winter, and the scenery of different seasons is depicted. The spring scene is divided by the blank water surface, the near scene is the slope stone and pine, and the distant mountains are smeared with stone blue and light ochre; In the summer scene, the dense woods are covered by clouds, only the bottom is visible, and the mountains are faintly visible; The composition of the autumn scenery is wonderful, the near view is the tree and stone slope bank, the middle ground is the forest house, the distant view is the majestic mountain, and the full moon hangs high; The winter scene is painted with dead trees and grass pavilions, and it is bleak and slaughtered.

This group of works concentrates the various unique techniques and styles of Qi Baishi's landscape paintings. He uses simple lines and bright colors to create a simple and concise artistic effect, and the pen and ink are vigorous and vigorous. At the same time, his works also highlight the naïve interest in landscape painting, which is simple, novel, and clumsy.
