Introduction to the show
In the development of Chinese opera, the opera orchestra played an important role, in which the string orchestra part is called Wenchang, and the percussion part is called Wuchang, which is collectively called Wenwuchang. The main function of the "Wenchang" is to accompany the singing and play the scene music used to accompany the performance, and the musical instruments are banhu (main string), erhu, jinghu, pipa, yueqin, dulcimer, suona, sheng, ruan, etc. The main task of the "martial arts" is to cooperate with the actors' body movements, recitation, singing, dancing, and fighting, and is usually equipped with bangzi, flat drums, sideboards, drums, bass drums, large gongs, small gongs, bells, hairpins, etc., which are collectively referred to as percussion.
In modern times, some Western musical instruments have also joined the ranks of opera bands. In the classic model play, a large number of symphonies are used, which play a good role in rendering the stage atmosphere, strengthening the rhythm of the drama, setting off the performance, and beautifying the singing, and also makes the model play a memory of an era.
In addition to the folk music performance of classic repertoire such as "Overture to the Little Knife Society", "Spring in the Orchid" and "Phoenix Nirvana", it also integrates opera elements such as Peking Opera, Jin Opera and Henan Opera, and stages the opera percussion "Haunting Heavenly Palace", creating a warm atmosphere of the festival with sonorous gongs and drums. In addition, the concert will reproduce wonderful excerpts from classic model operas such as the opera "Sister Jiang" and "The White-Haired Girl", the ballet "Red Detachment of Women", and the modern Peking Opera "Outwitting Tiger Mountain" in the form of folk music, taking music fans to relive the magnificent red years.
