Blessed are Laura fans, Crystal Dynamics has announced that three of the original developer Core Design's old titles, Shadow of the Tomb Raider: The Last Apocalypse, Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Chronicles, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Dark Angel, will be coming to multiple platforms on February 15 next year. At present, the Steam platform has started pre-sales, and the product page shows that the remastered version of this trilogy will support controller operation and Chinese simplified interface.
It is said that the original developer, Core Design, was tired of constantly releasing sequels, and in the fourth installment of the series, "The Last Apocalypse", he planned to leave the main character Laura · Croft. However, this idea was not realized in the subsequent Chronicles and Dark Angels. Ultimately, Dark Angel received the worst reviews in the series, reflecting Core Design's creative woes at the time.
With the release of Dark Angel, Crystal Dynamics took over the Tomb Raider franchise and rebooted the entire franchise in 2006 with Tomb Raider: Legends. To date, Lara Games has sold more than 100 million copies.
On the occasion of Lara's 28th anniversary on October 25, Crystal Dynamics issued a statement celebrating the achievements of the Tomb Raider franchise and reminding fans that Netflix's animated series "The Legend of Lara Croft" is on the air and follows the Survivor trilogy.
At the same time, Dark Horse is developing a statue of Laura as a companion to the second wave of remastered trilogy:
The PVC resin figurines of Laura that came with the first wave of remastered versions have not yet been shipped, and are expected to arrive in the hands of players in the first quarter of next year.
