Recently, the Leye Police Station of the Huize County Public Security Bureau of Qujing City cracked an "oolong theft case" and helped the elderly recover 21,100 yuan of pension money.
At 14:54 on October 8, the Leye Police Station received a report from resident Huang that the 8,000 yuan in cash that his mother had kept at home had been stolen and that he should be sent to the police to deal with it. After receiving the police, the police immediately rushed to the scene to investigate. It is understood that the old man has reached the age of 80, and the old man took the 8,000 yuan pension home from the bank a few days ago and stored it under the box. On the day of the incident, he couldn't find it, so the old man asked his children to call the police. After learning about the situation, the police immediately launched an investigation, and after a careful investigation at the scene, the police basically ruled out the possibility of burglary.
Due to the old man's advanced age, the police suspected that the old man might have forgotten the place where the money was placed, and then, with the consent of the old man, the police carefully searched for the "stolen" cash in the old man's room. At 15:24, after some searching, the police found 8,000 yuan in cash that was "stolen" in one of the old man's clothes, and 13,100 yuan in cash in another pair of pants. When the police returned 21,100 yuan in cash to the old man, the old man smiled.
So far, an "oolong theft case" has been successfully solved! Before leaving, the police told the elderly to deposit large amounts of cash in the bank or hand them over to their children for safekeeping.
