Xianda (Tianjin) Seawater Resources Development Co., Ltd. invested in the construction of the Nangang Industrial Zone Seawater Desalination and Comprehensive Utilization Integration (300,000 tons demonstration) project in Nangang Industrial Zone, which is a key cooperation project of the "Belt and Road" between China and Malaysia and the largest seawater desalination project in northern China. At present, the fifth production line of the first phase of the project is about to be completed and is expected to reach full production by the end of the year. After reaching production, the first phase of the project can produce 150,000 tons of desalination water per day, and Nangang Industrial Zone will also become the first chemical park in China with desalination as the main water source.
The scale of the first phase of the Xianda desalination project is 150,000 tons/day of water production, and a total of 5 production lines are built, with a single machine scale of 30,000 tons/day, which can replace 50 million tons of surface water per year after completion. As a public utility project of Nangang Industrial Zone, Xianda Seawater Desalination Project is the only industrial water source planned by Nangang Industrial Zone, which will fully meet the water needs of all customers, including the 1.2 million tons/year ethylene project of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, Huadian Nangang Thermal Power Project of Huadian International Power Co., Ltd., and the relocation and transformation project of Tianjin Bohua Chemical Development Co., Ltd.
At the same time, the fifth production line that will be put into operation is a national production demonstration line, which adopts a full set of domestic equipment such as ultrafiltration membrane, reverse osmosis membrane, high-pressure pump, booster pump, energy recovery device and so on. Indicators such as the water yield and desalination rate of reverse osmosis membrane, the efficiency of high-pressure pumps, and the energy conversion efficiency of energy recovery are the same as those of imported equipment, which will create a scale record for the use of domestic devices in commercial plants. This localization demonstration line will also provide application scenarios for the development of the whole desalination industry chain in mainland China and Tianjin, and promote the maturation and upgrading of equipment, which has very important demonstration significance for industrial development.
