The reporter learned from the Shuangliu District Water Affairs Bureau that after the completion of the project, the total water supply scale of Shuangliu District will reach 800,000 tons/day, which will effectively alleviate the pressure of water supply in our district and provide residents with safer, stable and high-quality drinking water. As an important project to enhance the regional water supply capacity and improve the quality of life of the people, since the project started in April this year, the construction personnel have grasped the construction period, caught up with the schedule, and constantly refreshed the construction "progress bar".

Chengdu Minjiang Waterworks Rural Drinking Water Safety Purification Plant Reconstruction and Expansion Project is close to the south side of Chengdu Minjiang Waterworks Jinma Waterworks, covering an area of 39,200 square meters, including two-stage mixed flocculation inclined tube sedimentation tank, V-type filter and backwash pump room, clear water tank, dosing room, power distribution center, etc.
"The project is expected to be completed and put into operation in April 2026, with a designed daily water supply capacity of 200,000 tons, serving water in Huangshui, Yixin, Bio City and other areas." Gan Wenjing, director of the key project construction office of Chengdu Minjiang Water Plant, said.
It is understood that the project also has a "new breakthrough" in the water production process, such as the project's new two-stage mixed flocculation inclined tube sedimentation tank can treat high turbidity raw water. "According to the existing water treatment process, when the turbidity of raw water is above 5000mg/L, it will cause a reduction in production capacity; The newly built sedimentation tank can cope with the turbidity of raw water above 8000mg/L, ensuring that the water supply capacity is not affected, and providing a more reliable guarantee for the safety of drinking water for residents in the jurisdiction.
