Dispose of 8,583 accounts that violate laws and regulations! 12 typical cases of online rumors were released

Recently, some online accounts have fabricated rumors in areas such as public policy, social livelihood, and emergencies by creating rumors out of nothing, transferring flowers and trees, and stirring up old news, seriously misleading netizens' cognition, causing public panic, and affecting social harmony and stability. The internet information departments are to guide website platforms to continue to increase the force of monitoring and handling, promptly tracing the source and closing the accounts that first published rumors, and disposing of a total of 8,583 accounts that violate laws and regulations. Some of the typical cases are hereby notified as follows.

1. Rumor that "15 abducted children were found in a refrigerated truck". Recently, a news that "a refrigerated truck in Hunan was involved in a traffic accident, and the traffic police found 15 abducted children in the car" circulated on the Internet. After verification by the local public security organs, the information was a rumor, and the offender was administratively detained in accordance with the law. Accounts such as Sina Weibo's "Crocodile Wants to Sail" and Baidu's "Life Simple 123" have been closed in accordance with the law.

2. "Girls are being hugged and bullied by boys in the pool" rumor. Recently, a video of "girls being hugged and bullied by boys in the pool" circulated on the Internet. After investigation by the local public security organs, the rumor-mongers were eye-catching, filmed videos and published them with false content such as "bullying", and the rumor-mongers have been administratively detained in accordance with the law. Accounts such as the Douyin platform "Teacher Ren 111" and the Kuaishou platform "Mi Flicker Crooked Again and Directly Return to the Tour" have been closed in accordance with the law.

3. Rumor that "international students will enjoy six major policy supports, such as applying for self-financed study abroad scholarships". Recently, an account posted a video on the Internet, saying that the Overseas Study Center of the Ministry of Education held a press conference to announce that "it will expand support for studying abroad, and international students will enjoy six major policy supports, including applying for self-financed study abroad scholarships and applying to settle in first-tier cities". The Service Center for Scholarly Study of the Ministry of Education hereby declares that the content of the video is false and untrue, and the Center has never held this press conference and has never released relevant policies. The so-called six major policy supports are mainly a patchwork and exaggeration of relevant policies in some places, and remind the majority of international students and the public to be vigilant and beware of being deceived. Accounts such as the WeChat platform "Qihang Study Abroad Gang" and the Xiaohongshu platform "qwx331600410" have been closed in accordance with the law.

4. "One kilometer of China's high-speed rail consumes 10,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity" rumor. There are rumors on the Internet that "one kilometer of high-speed rail in mainland China consumes 10,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity". In this regard, China Academy of Railway Sciences Group Co., Ltd. responded that the statement that "one kilometer consumes 10,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity" has secretly changed the two concepts of unit time and unit mileage, which is inconsistent with the facts. Taking the existing four main models of 8 trains as an example, the energy consumption test on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway shows that the four models all travel 2,636 kilometers round trip at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and the average power consumption per kilometer is 21.6 kWh, 23.5 kWh, 19.5 kWh and 21.1 kWh respectively. Accounts such as Toutiao's platform "Qingsonghua Sports" and Baidu's platform "Talking about the World" have been closed in accordance with the law.

5. "Scan the code to receive the '2024 personal labor subsidy'" rumor. Some netizens reported receiving the "2024 Financial Individual Labor Subsidy Receipt Notice" email, which reads "The subsidy policy is limited to Chinese citizens whose wages have been deducted for more than 3 months within 1 year, after receiving the notice, please apply for registration in time, and overdue will be deemed to have waived the right to receive", requiring users to scan the attached QR code with WeChat and enter the "National Human Resources and Social Security Official Mini Program" for processing. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security issued a document on the WeChat public account, making it clear that the so-called "personal labor subsidy" has never been issued, and the email is false information and suspected of fraud. Accounts such as the Xiaohongshu platform "Chengnan Flower Meeting" have been closed in accordance with the law.

6. "Anhui Province's Regulations on the Implementation of the Registered Capital Registration and Management System of the People's Republic of China Company Law" rumors. In response to the rumors that "Anhui Province on the Implementation of the "People's Republic of China Company Law" registered capital registration management system" appeared on the Internet, the Anhui Provincial Market Supervision Administration officially stated that it had not formulated and issued this document, nor had it reported to the provincial government to issue a similar document, reminding the vast number of enterprises and the people not to believe or spread rumors. Sina Weibo platform "Wuhan Bubufei Consulting" and other accounts have been closed in accordance with the law.

7. Rumor that "a case of knife wounding occurred during an event held at the Hongkou Football Stadium in Shanghai". Some netizens posted videos saying that a case of knife wounding occurred at an event held at the Hongkou Football Stadium. After verification by the local public security organs, no such cases occurred at the event site that day, and the information was a rumor. Accounts such as "My CP is real" on the Toutiao platform and "I love lemon tower" on the Xiaohongshu platform have been closed in accordance with the law.

8. "Tourists in Guizhou travel by 'Ka waist'" rumors. Some netizens posted graphic information, saying, "Tourists who have recently come to Guiyang must not stay in Golden Road hotels and hostels, two young men from Guangdong just had their waists cut off last night, and the case is still under investigation." "After verification by the local public security organs, the situation of "a vicious case of foreign tourists being injured at the Golden Road" is not true, the information is a rumor, and the rumor-mongers have been administratively detained in accordance with the law. Accounts such as the Douyin platform "wyyuhgf9" and the Baidu platform "Zhan Yitong 88" have been closed in accordance with the law.

9. "Taiyuan No. 1 School went to the empty building on the first day of school". A short video of "Taiyuan, Shanxi, parents said that the school was empty on the first day of school, 'no one notified in advance to stop running the school, and relied on parents' speculation to transfer in advance'" A short video circulated on the Internet, and the WeChat public account "Shanxi Network Report" issued a response, after verification, there is no school shown in the video screen in Taiyuan, and it has been determined that the place where the incident occurred is not in Taiyuan, and the information is false information. The account of "Tiantian Sharing A88" on the Bilibili platform has been closed in accordance with the law.

10. "Chongqing's traffic lights are hot" rumor. Some netizens posted a video with the text "Don't come to Chongqing for tourism recently, the traffic lights are hot", after verification, the online video is actually a picture of spontaneous combustion at a traffic light at a junction in another province in July 2017, and the fire department quickly extinguished the open flame. Netizens "shifted the flowers" of the incident and maliciously fabricated the rumor that "Chongqing's traffic lights are hot". Accounts such as "Xinxinnian A111" on the Bilibili platform have been closed in accordance with laws and agreements.

11. Rumor of "Hangzhou East Railway Station Tram Self-Burning Dead". Some netizens posted a short video, claiming that an electric car at Hangzhou East Railway Station spontaneously combusted while charging, resulting in the people in the car being burned to death, accompanied by a very impactful "on-site photo". After verification by the local public security organs, the rumor maker published the rumor for the purpose of attracting attention, with the picture of an electric vehicle accident that occurred in China in 2019, and the rumor maker has been administratively punished in accordance with the law. Accounts such as "Eat □ and Don't Spit Out Seeds" on the Xiaohongshu platform have been closed in accordance with laws and agreements.

12. Rumors of "Sichuan Dazhou floods killed many people". There is news on the Internet that "the Dazhou flood caused 4 deaths and 1 missing, including 3 deaths in Dazhu and 1 loss of contact, and 1 death in Kaijiang". After verification, the content is false. In order to attract attention, the rumor-mongers downloaded other people's videos on the Internet, fabricated false information and published it on the website platform. The local public security organs have imposed administrative punishments on the rumor-mongers in accordance with the law. Accounts such as the WeChat platform "Bodhi Tea House BX" have been closed in accordance with the law.
