According to previous news, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is expected to be released in January 2025, which is earlier than the previous generation. According to the latest report from South Korean media The Elec, Samsung plans to stock and produce 22 million Galaxy S25 series phones by June 2025.
Among them, the Galaxy S25 Standard Edition is planned to produce 6 million units, the Plus version will be about 4 million units, and the Super Cup Ultra will be up to 11 million units. This actually corresponds to the sales of the current model, with the Ultra being the most popular, followed by the standard version, and the Plus being at the bottom of the sales range.
It is reported that this time the appearance of the Galaxy S25 Ultra has finally changed significantly, first of all, the screen size has increased from the original 6.8 inches to 6.9 inches, which should be regarded as the largest screen in the current mainstream mobile phone, and the same size as Apple's latest iPhone 16 Pro Max.
The S25 Ultra's screen size is achieved by narrowing the black edge of the screen, which is only about 1.1mm. At the same time, the middle frame of the S25 Ultra has also been narrowed, becoming a flat design that is no longer convex, and the body measurements are 162.82*77.65*8.25mm, and it weighs 219g.
For reference, the body size of the previous generation S24 Ultra was 162.3*79*8.6mm and weighed 232g. In other words, the new S25 Ultra has a larger screen but a narrower and thinner body, and the weight is also significantly lighter, which is still worthy of praise.
Secondly, in terms of body profile, in addition to the flat middle frame, the S25 Ultra's body and screen R corners have also been replaced with "slightly rounded corners". Judging by the renders, it has begun to return to the S series without the Note, but the overall shape is still more boxy than the other two models in the S series.
In terms of details, the S25 Ultra retains a slight arc at the junction between the middle frame and the back cover to ensure a grip. The rear camera is still independent, but it may have a Fold 6-like camera ring design, which is actually similar to the Meizu 21 Pro's camera ring (see image above).
As for the S25 standard version, the current leaks show that its appearance has not changed much, with a 6.17-inch small vertical screen design, and the body size is about 146.9*70.4*7.2mm. This may also be the smallest small-screen flagship in the new machine in the same period, but the configuration is estimated to be the most pulled!
There is also an FE version, the so-called fan version. According to The Elec, the core highlight of the Galaxy S25 FE is the "Slim" design, which will reduce the thickness of the phone body by reducing the thickness of the battery, which is expected to be released in the second half of next year.
In addition to the phone itself, the new system One UI 7 will also receive a new design. According to Samsung's official disclosure, One UI 7 has three core design elements –
Simplicity: Aim for purposeful simplicity throughout the UI.
Impactful: Create a new, distinctive impression of One UI.
Have emotion: Create UI elements, such as a new blurring engine, to generate a positive emotional response from the user.
Combined with the previous news, One UI 7 will open beta testing at the end of this year, and regular users can also participate, and the official version will be launched next year with the Galaxy S25 series of phones.
