In today's world, peace always seems so fragile, as in southern Lebanon, where the artillery fire is once again relentless, shattering illusions about peace. The blood once again stained the land that was supposed to symbolize peace, making the hearts of everyone who cared about peace feel like they had been hit hard by a hammer.
The Israel army's attack on the post of the multinational peacekeeping force is truly infuriating. What kind of military action is this, it is simply a wanton trampling on life, a blatant challenge to the conscience of mankind! Think of the peacekeepers at the outposts, who came for peace, but suffered such an unwarranted disaster.
When it comes to the contradictions between Israel and Lebanon Allah, it is not a matter of a day or two. Over the years, conflicts and wars have sprung up like demons every now and then. In recent times, military activity near the border between the two sides has become more and more frequent, like two boxers ready to fight.
Israel claims to be defending its national security, but how can Allah's armed activities become a big threat in their eyes? They have also pressured UN peacekeepers to operate in so-called "protected areas." It sounds like it's for the safety of the peacekeeping forces, but in reality? This puts the peacekeepers in even greater danger.
United Nations peacekeepers in Lebanon have a major mission to maintain peace and stability. About 10,000 peacekeepers from different countries are on duty here.
Can you imagine? In such a complex security environment, they must maintain a high degree of vigilance every day, like an antelope on the grassland, always ready to deal with possible dangers. Any little bit of wind and grass can make them nervous.
Take, for example, the attack on 10 October, when shells rained down on the posts of the peacekeepers. Outposts in Italy and Indonesia were badly damaged and damaged.
At that time, the scene was simply chaotic. The explosions were deafening, the cries of the soldiers were heard one after another, and the air was filled with a thick sense of panic. Preliminary information indicates that several peacekeepers have been injured and that the equipment and supplies have been damaged to the point where they are not in good shape.
This is not just a simple attack on the peacekeeping force, it is a serious blow to the trust of the international community. It's as if you trust someone, but they stab you in the back, and that feeling is really chilling.
Speaking of Chinese peacekeepers, we must not forget Du Zhaoyu. In 2006, he died in a similar situation as a result of Israeli artillery fire. His story is deeply engraved in the heart of every Chinese. He was a symbol of the struggle for peace, and his spirit was like a beacon that illuminated the path forward for future peacekeepers.
Now, in such a situation, the pressure on the Chinese peacekeepers has become even greater. On the one hand, they must continue to carry out their mission of maintaining peace, and on the other hand, they need to improve their security precautions.
Strengthening the defenses of patrols and outposts is not an empty phrase. In that turbulent land, every patrol can be fraught with danger, and every outpost can be the target of enemy attacks.
The psychological quality of the peacekeepers is also facing a severe test. They have to stay calm in that tense environment, like a tree standing tall in a raging storm.
They must quickly judge the situation and then react correctly. Because they know that "peace is beautiful, but it is not easy to come by", and they will protect this peace with their own actions.
In such a situation, Chinese peacekeepers have made it clear that they have the right to self-defense in accordance with the law when threatened. This is their right under international law and a necessary means for them to safeguard their own security.
In this cruel test, they must demonstrate their ability to be steadfast and calm, as well as their determination and courage to defend peace. And behind them is the support and attention of the state. The state is like their strong backing, letting them know that they are not fighting alone.
Israel's attack on peacekeeping forces has shown us the enormous challenges facing global peacekeeping operations. This event, like a boulder thrown into the surface of a calm lake, stirred up layers of ripples. It not only affects the security and morale of peacekeeping forces, but also serves as a wake-up call to the international community. In conflict-prone areas, it is indeed difficult for peacekeeping operations to achieve their goal of maintaining peace.
We can't just watch from the sidelines, we should be concerned about the safety of peacekeepers. They are also other people's sons, husbands, and fathers, who have left their families for the sake of world peace and gone to that dangerous battlefield. We need to think about what we can do for them.
At the same time, we should also think deeply about how we can promote the global peace process and reduce the occurrence of conflicts and wars. Only in this way will the sacrifices of peacekeepers like Du Zhaoyu not be in vain, and our world will truly usher in lasting peace and security.
In these turbulent times, countries really need to work together. Just like a ship sailing in the sea, only when the various parts work closely together can it ride the wind and waves and sail into the distance. Together, we need to address the challenges and strive for a future of peace. Because peace is our common aspiration and the bright future that each and every one of us desires.
We can imagine what the world would be like if all countries could put aside prejudices and disputes, sit down and have a good talk, understand each other, and tolerate each other. Perhaps, in southern Lebanon at that time, there was no more artillery fire, no more blood, only the laughter of children, only people's happy lives. This is not an unattainable dream, and if we work together, we will be able to achieve it.
We would like to pay tribute to the peacekeepers, who are true heroes. With their actions, they have explained what peace is, what courage is, and what responsibility is. They are silently paying for our future in that land full of dangers. We must not forget their sacrifices and dedication, and we must start from ourselves, from the small things around us, and contribute our own strength to peace.
Perhaps, we can't go directly to the battlefield like the peacekeepers, but we can let more people understand the cruelty of war and cherish the hard-won peace by promoting the concept of peace. We can care for those who have been injured in the war and provide them with help and support. We can also actively participate in international affairs, promote exchanges and cooperation among countries, and jointly build a harmonious, stable and prosperous world.
In short, the war in southern Lebanon has shown us the cruelty of war and the preciousness of peace. We need to follow the example of peacekeepers, resolutely defend peace, and strive to achieve the goal of global peace. I believe that with the joint efforts of the people of all countries, we will certainly be able to usher in a beautiful world free from war and conflict.
