"A good man should have the courage to have the world in mind and the pride to dare to go to the border. Good cadres must go to the places where the motherland needs them most! Recently, the Dongying Detachment of the Shandong Armed Police Corps held a grand farewell party to send off Yuan Yong, the original training staff officer of the detachment, to take up his post in Tibet.
Back in May this year, after receiving the notice of selection, Yuan Yong made a decision - to volunteer to the remote and difficult areas around him, and submitted a petition to the party organization for the first time. "I volunteered to select and transfer the Tibet Armed Police Corps, and after the successful exchange, I will insist on using the military style to be strict with myself, do my own work well, do my job well, love my work, and better play my role for the troops." In the petition, Yuan Yong expressed his firm determination to go to the border in simple words.
At an important point in his life, Yuan Yong had the belief of defending the country and defending the frontier and making contributions to the frontier, and resolutely chose to move to the frontier, to go to the difficult and remote areas, and to the places where the party and the people needed it most.
In fact, from the beginning of his enlistment, the seeds of defending the country and defending the border had already been buried in Yuan Yong's heart. In March 2024, Yuan Yong went to study at the Urumqi Campus of the Armed Police Engineering University, and saw the "aerial grassland" of Nalati for the first time, with a fluffy green carpet stretching from the mountains to the foot of the snow-capped mountains.
After Yuan Yong came up with the idea of being transferred to Tibet, he was most worried about how to communicate with his family, but his wife gave him great understanding and support, "If you are a soldier, you have to go to the place where the motherland needs it most, you can rest assured that you have me at home, go and realize your dreams!" His wife's attitude further strengthened his determination to defend the country.
Looking through Yuan Yong's military resume, he has been running hard. During his service in the Shandong Armed Police Corps, he was awarded the third-class meritorious service twice, was commended by the corps twice as an "outstanding regimental cadre", twice as an "outstanding grassroots cadre" by the corps, won seven commendations by the corps, and was commended once by the detachment as an "advanced individual serving the grassroots".
Because of his outstanding performance, he was assigned to the position of squadron leader in July 2017. After becoming the commander-in-chief, Yuan Yong realized that the promotion of his position was not only a change of identity, but also an upgrade of responsibility.
Yuan Yong's squadron has a strong "family background", and the accumulation of honors for many years made him secretly determined that he must carry forward the glory of the unit and repay the organization and training with practical actions. He often said to the fighters: "If you don't give up at any time, everything is still possible." As long as you are hopeful, you will be invincible. ”
At this time, Yuan Yong was already standing on the border line of the snowy plateau in military uniform, and in the future, he will continue to write his road to strengthening the army with youth and enthusiasm.
