On the morning of October 11th, the autumn breeze was cool and the sun was shining, and a unique green protection lecture was held in the public primary school of Qiyang City, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province. The event was jointly organized by the Qiyang Civic River Chief Action Center, the Municipal River Xiaoqing Action Center, the Municipal Ecological Protection Association, and the Qiyang Bird Protection Camp, aiming to sow the seeds of green protection in the hearts of children through preaching, and jointly protect our green home.
At the event site, volunteers wore uniform green vests and held green protection publicity materials and walked into the public primary school. The activities revolved around a number of themes such as "protecting the mother river", "garbage classification" and "biodiversity".
Guo Ying, an environmental protection lecturer, brought a unique lesson on "The Journey of Plastics" to the students of the second class of the fifth grade. In vivid and interesting language, she narrated the whole process of plastic from production, use to recycling, and guided children to think about the harm of plastic pollution to rivers, oceans, ecological environment and biodiversity. In the classroom, the children listened with relish, raised their hands to ask questions from time to time, and actively interacted with the lecturer, who answered patiently and meticulously, which stimulated the children's strong interest in environmental protection.
In addition to the wonderful classroom presentations, the volunteers also distributed 467 copies of promotional materials for the children on river conservation and biodiversity. The materials cover garbage classification guidelines, biodiversity conservation manuals and other contents, which are illustrated and interesting. The children flipped through the materials and exchanged experiences with the volunteers, and the atmosphere was warm and warm.
This green protection lecture not only gave the children a deeper understanding of environmental protection, but also planted green seeds in their hearts. The children said that they should actively participate in the beach clean-up action of protecting the mother river, and that the protection of the mother river should start from me, start from small things, and contribute to the protection of the mother river and the maintenance of biodiversity.
