The steel rolling caliper is used to detect the outer diameter and ovality size of wire, bar and pipe, the inner diameter, transverse rib and longitudinal rib size of the rebar.
On-site investigation: In the early stage of caliper manufacturing, technical engineers will inspect the steel rolling production site to understand the production status and environmental conditions. Confirm the installation location of the steel rolling caliper, select a flat and easy-to-install location, and confirm the installation location according to the inspection needs, considering the layout and operation process of the production line.
Environmental conditions: Check the temperature and humidity conditions of the installation environment and assess the dust, oil and water vapor conditions of the environment, which may adhere to the optics or sensors of the caliper, affecting the accuracy of the measurement. Therefore, in the design of the caliper, cooling and dust protection measures will be taken according to the actual situation.
Installation space: Clean up debris around the installation location and ensure there is enough space to install the caliper and its accessories. The caliper needs to be installed in a location where the rolled steel can be easily measured, and it is usually required that the rolled steel is within the effective measurement range of the diameter gauge at the time of measurement, and that there are no obstructions around it that interfere with light or signal transmission. Depending on the size and maintenance requirements of the caliper, a certain amount of operating space is reserved for routine maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of the equipment.
Infrastructure: According to the pre-specified site location, lay the foundation in accordance with the requirements of the "Diameter Gauge Layout Drawing" and the "Diameter Gauge Foundation Drawing", and pay attention to the smoothness and stability of the foundation surface. After on-site investigation, it was confirmed that the ground foundation, location size and other indicators met the design requirements, and the power supply line interfaces were ready. The caliper user can notify Lanpeng Measurement & Control Technology Co., Ltd. to install the caliper on site.
Equipment interface: ensure that the caliper matches the interface of other equipment in the production line, such as data transmission interface, control interface, etc.
Power supply preparation: Check whether the power supply line is ready to ensure that the power supply of the caliper is stable and reliable. Prepare the necessary power cords and electrical outlets to meet the power needs of the caliper.
Notify the manufacturer: to ensure the time when the caliper arrives at the factory and the installation time, the manufacturer should be notified in advance for on-site installation of the caliper, so that the manufacturer can arrange technical personnel for installation and commissioning.
Prepare tools and materials: Prepare the necessary installation tools, measuring tools, and materials and spare parts for commissioning, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, cranes (if the caliper is heavy and needs to be lifted), etc.
Make an installation plan: Make a detailed installation plan, including installation time, installation steps, division of labor, etc., to ensure that the installation process goes smoothly.
Personnel training: Arrange installation personnel to carry out relevant technical training, so that they are familiar with the operation method, maintenance process, safety precautions, etc. of the rolling steel caliper. Installers should have certain mechanical and electrical installation skills, and have knowledge of the rolling production process.
The above is the preparation work before the installation of the caliper, in short, it is mainly the preliminary survey, the layout of the site according to the drawings, and the learning of the relevant information of the caliper. Although simple, these preparations are also essential to ensure proper installation and subsequent use of the caliper.
