In order to ensure the healthy and happy life of the two giant pandas at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C., China has organized experts to visit the United States on several occasions to assess the living environment, feeding management, food security and health care of the giant pandas. At present, according to the opinions of Chinese experts, the Washington National Zoo has renovated and upgraded the giant panda living venues, further guaranteed the food sources such as edible bamboo and bamboo shoots, set up a professional breeding management team, formulated a complete breeding management system and technical specifications, and strengthened the regular health monitoring report and on-site inspection and evaluation mechanism. In addition to updating the lawn, pool and other facilities, the zoo has also added more climbing facilities.

Earlier this month, the Washington National Zoo sent four keepers and veterinarians to China to participate in the management and disease prevention of the two giant pandas. The China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda will send two keepers and veterinarians to accompany the giant pandas at the National Zoo in Washington to adapt to their new environment as soon as possible.

Over the past 24 years of cooperation with the National Zoo in Washington, D.C., China and the United States have successfully bred live giant pandas "Taishan", "Baobao", "Beibei" and "Little Miracle".
