The Chongping section of the Nanping high-speed railway is an important part of the Nanping high-speed railway, with a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour, and the Nanchong section of the Nanping high-speed railway has been opened to traffic in December 2022, and the Chongping section is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in 2025. After the whole line is put into operation, Nanning to Pingxiang can achieve direct high-speed rail and bullet trains directly to the border cities of China and Vietnam, forming a convenient transportation channel for China to connect with ASEAN, which is of great significance for improving the border transportation infrastructure, improving the level of interconnection between Guangxi and Southeast Asia and other regions, and boosting the construction of a new land-sea corridor in the west.
