The Chang-6 rocket is a new generation of non-toxic and non-polluting carrier rocket, and is also the first solid-liquid bundled medium-sized carrier rocket in the mainland, with a sun-synchronous orbit carrying capacity of more than 4.5 tons at an altitude of 700 kilometers.

Since its first flight in 2022, the Chang-6 rocket has continued to optimize the deployment of approach personnel and the recovery of ground equipment, further shortening the launch interval to meet the needs of intensive launches in the future. This mission is the first time that the full-time launch vehicle testing and launching team of the Eighth Academy of Sciences has independently undertaken the testing and launching work of the Changliu rocket launch site.
