Italy consulting firm Areté recently released a survey report titled "How Italy view Chinese cars". According to the data, nearly seven out of ten Italy consumers expressed interest in buying Chinese brand cars.

The Italy newspaper El Courier reported that the survey showed that 68% of respondents were interested in buying Chinese cars, with potential buyers between the ages of 31 and 44 particularly interested.

The reasons for their choice varied – · 35% of respondents value the price advantage of Chinese cars; · 24% of respondents believe that its advanced technology is attractive;

· 22% of respondents agree that these cars show reliability in real-world use.

Another statistic further illustrates the importance of price: 89% of those willing to consider buying a Chinese car said that the premise is that the price must be less than 30,000 euros.

Massimo Ghenzer, head of Areté, pointed out that Chinese car brands are gradually entering the European and Italy markets. Surveys show that Italy's acceptance of these cars is increasing, whether electric, hybrid or internal combustion engine models. "While six out of ten respondents still prefer to choose European brands, rising car prices, economic considerations and the prospect of electric vehicles are turning more attention to China."

Massimo Ghenzer added that the data shows that the reputation gap between Chinese and European brands is gradually narrowing. While economic reasons remain the main driver of consumer choice, more and more consumers are beginning to recognize the performance of Chinese cars in terms of technology, reliability, material quality and exterior design.

The survey also shows that Chinese manufacturers have gradually narrowed the gap in reputation with competitors in Europe, United States and Japan in recent years, but some consumers still have reservations — 30 percent are concerned about the quality of materials, 25 percent are concerned about after-sales service, and 23 percent believe that these cars are generally unreliable.

Finally, 24% of respondents considering buying a Chinese car would choose an electric vehicle because they believe that Chinese car brands are leading the way in this area; 27% are biased towards internal combustion engine models; Other respondents prefer hybrid models.
