The facilities are complete to help solve the problem of test flight

The Bao'an District UAV System Application Test Base (hereinafter referred to as the "Base") aims to effectively solve the flight test problems of unmanned aerial vehicles (hereinafter referred to as UAVs) units or enterprises, and make up for the shortcomings of the UAV industry chain. Secondly, in order to enhance the core competitiveness and sustainable development of the UAV industry, as well as to promote the high-end development of the UAV industry chain, to provide strong support, so as to promote the development of UAV enterprises in Bao'an.

The base is located in Yanluo Street and has a variety of testing facilities, capable of supporting the take-off, landing and testing of various types of UAVs. These facilities include a 20-meter-diameter rotorcraft-class drone take-off and landing site and a test site for water drones. These resources provide a good environment for R&D and innovation of drone enterprises. At present, there are 14 leading enterprises in the industry all over the base, including the well-known Shenzhen DJI Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. and Meituan Low-altitude Logistics Technology Co., Ltd. The participation of these companies not only enhances the activity of the base, but also injects new impetus into the development of the drone industry.

Since its opening in May, the base has received 128 batches and 525 visits from government organizations, industry-related enterprises and other units. It has accumulated 1,027 hours of testing time and 3,350 takeoffs and landings; The training time was 470 hours, and there were 1,845 takeoffs and landings. This data not only reflects the growth of industry demand, but also reflects Baoan's ambition in the application of drone technology.

A series of test results need to be supported by infrastructure. There are 2 220V household power sockets and 1 380V industrial power socket in the drone charging area provided by the base for enterprises, which can be used to charge drones with different types of needs. In addition, the base uses the integrated wiring system to establish a high-speed, broadband information transmission platform to provide high-speed transmission channels for voice, data, images, multimedia and other information for operations, and supports the 10 Gigabit rate Ethernet standard. The system is compatible, open, flexible, modular, expandable and economical.

Accurate flight tests provide data support for industry standards

According to the current use of the base, the flight tests organized by UAV manufacturers in the design approval, airworthiness certification, and manufacturing stages are the most, accounting for about 50%; There are more test flights of relevant unmanned aircraft hardware facilities organized by research institutes and universities, accounting for about 30%; About 10% of the flight training classes are organized by training institutions; Other test flights accounted for about 10%.

According to the relevant person in charge of the base, in June this year, the project team of the Airworthiness Institute of the Academy of Aviation Sciences completed the noise test of five multi-rotor UAVs at the base using the HBK noise test system. The test covers level flight, hovering and apron status, clarifies the noise evaluation method, analyzes the influence of take-off weight, flight data and number of rotors on noise, and explores the noise level of UAVs of different weights during the flight phase, so as to provide data support for the formulation of noise standards.
