This memorial hall with a rich history is located on the original site of the Huairou Rocket Test Base in the depths of the campus. This is the first rocket research and test base in the mainland, and the lightning rod pointing to the sky in the courtyard is built by the older generation of scientists in the process of scientific research to ensure the safety of the site. In order to carry out the task of developing the "two bombs and one satellite," more than 40 units of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and two-thirds of the scientific research personnel of the academy participated in the development of the atomic bomb and hydrogen bomb, the missile carrier rocket project, and the artificial satellite project.

"When introducing the deeds of the fathers of the 'Two Bombs and One Star', I seem to be able to travel through time and space and talk to them." Pan Yiyao, a student at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and a docent of the museum's meritorious figure exhibition, said that during his one-year tenure as a docent, he received old scientists who participated in the construction of "two bombs and one satellite", and also told touching stories for young students and young scientists in the new era, "I think this is the meaning of science communication, the meaning of spiritual promotion, and the meaning of inheritance and practice. ”

With a history of more than 60 years, the water tower of Huairou Rocket Test Base, the tallest building of Huairou Rocket Test Base, has also been renovated, and after a series of renovations, it has become the commanding height and visual focus of the Yanqi Lake Campus of UCAS. "The predecessor of UCAS was a school that cultivated talents for the cause of 'two bombs and one satellite', and it was also the first school in New China to start graduate education." Zhou Qi, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of UCAS, said that this water tower once served the founding fathers of "two bombs and one satellite" and the older generation of scientists, and now it has ushered in a new mission. The entire water tower has been rebuilt into a memorial lighthouse, and the bottom area has been expanded into a book bar, which will serve as a cultural landmark on the campus of UCAS to inherit the spirit of "two bombs and one satellite".

Focusing on the theme of promoting the spirit of "Two Bombs and One Satellite", UCAS has recently launched a number of academic and literary activities. Based on the experience of Li Pei, the wife of Guo Yonghuai, the famous linguist and the wife of the "Two Bombs and One Star", the contemporary Kunqu opera "Mr. Li Pei" was recently screened at the National University of Science and Technology. The play not only shows Li Pei as an outstanding educator who continues to develop in the field of applied linguistics, but also presents the arduous entrepreneurial history of China's aerospace industry from scratch and from weak to strong. Qi Fayun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, gave a lecture on the theme of "China's Aerospace and Aerospace Spirit" to the students of the National Academy of Sciences.
