On October 16, 2024, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the successful detonation of China's first atomic bomb, the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Willing to Pledge My Body: Tsinghua People among the Fathers of 'Two Bombs and One Satellite'" and the launch ceremony of the new book were held at the History Museum of Tsinghua University. In 1999, 14 of the 23 "two bombs and one satellite" fathers commended by the party and the state had studied or worked at Tsinghua University. They are: Wang Ganchang, Zhao Jiuzhang, Qian Xuesen, Peng Huanwu, Qian Sanqiang, Wang Daheng, Chen Fangyun, Guo Yonghuai, Tu Shouyi, Yang Jiaqi, Wang Xiji, Deng Jiaxian, Zhu Guangya, Zhou Guangzhao. More than 70 relatives, experts and scholars, and representatives of teachers and students of Tsinghua University attended the event.
In the exhibition, the 14 founding fathers are arranged in the order of admission (or teaching) at Tsinghua University, presenting their respective studies and work in Tsinghua University, and their struggle for the cause of "two bombs and one satellite".
On the same day, the new book "Promising the Country with Himself - Tsinghua People in the Fathers of "Two Bombs and One Star" was released. It is reported that as early as 2001, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding of Tsinghua University, Tsinghua University Press published a book edited by Song Jian and deputy editor-in-chief Ge Nengquan, "The Biography of the Fathers of the 'Two Bombs and One Star'", which recorded the life deeds of 23 "two bombs and one star" fathers.

"Promising the Country with Body: Tsinghua People Among the Fathers of "Two Bombs and One Satellite" is a book planned by Tsinghua University Press to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the successful explosion of China's first atomic bomb. This book is edited by Ge Nengquan, Feng Lisheng and Fan Baolong, and the compilation team is composed of experts and scholars from Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, University of Science and Technology of China, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Beihang University and other units.
The special exhibition "Willing to Pledge the Country with My Body: Tsinghua People Among the Fathers of the 'Two Bombs and One Satellite'" showcases the life deeds of the 14 Tsinghua people among the "Two Bombs and One Satellite" and their relationship with Tsinghua. In this exhibition, the 14 founding fathers are arranged in the order of admission (or teaching) at Tsinghua University, presenting their respective studies and work in Tsinghua University and their hard work for the cause of "two bombs and one satellite". Through 39 exhibition panels, 126 precious pictures, and more than 60 pieces (groups) of archival historical materials and physical archives, the exhibition shows the life deeds of the 14 "two bombs and one star" fathers.
Wang Zhuxi gave Peng Huanwu a slide rule and an enamel jar used by Peng Huanwu.
For the first time, the student status cards of the 12 founding fathers of the Tsinghua University Archives are displayed to the public in the physical display case. Qian Sanqiang's donation of archival materials is also the first time to meet with teachers and students. Qian Xuesen's letter of willingness and guarantee to study in the United States, the manuscript of Deng Jiaxian's treatise on "Quantum Field Theory", Wang Ganchang's notebook under the pseudonym "Wang Jing" and the used table clock are also presented.
The student registration cards of the 12 founding fathers in the archives of Tsinghua University were displayed to the public for the first time, and Qian Sanqiang's donation of archival historical materials was also the first time to meet the audience.
