In 2006, Liang Ping's woodblock New Year paintings were included in the national intangible cultural heritage protection list.

Influenced by regional culture, Liang Ping's woodblock New Year painting expression techniques and artistic styles have formed a unique system. The production process needs to go through more than 30 processes such as engraving, steaming paper, brushing mud, overprinting, opening the face, etc., the color pigment should be boiled with plant minerals, the printing paper needs the local white bamboo handmade paper, and the engraving overprint needs a color and a plate, and the color is layered.

In order to strengthen the protection and inheritance of national intangible cultural heritage, Liang Ping has successively established intangible cultural heritage inheritance bases in townships, schools and associations under his jurisdiction, and set up intangible cultural heritage classrooms in art academies. The New Year's paintings created by local primary school students in Liangping have been selected into the new art textbooks for primary and secondary schools compiled by the Ministry of Education, and have become a model for primary and secondary school students across the country to learn New Year's paintings.
