According to the "2024 China Game Industry Quarterly Report" jointly released by the Game Working Committee and Gamma Data today, the data shows that in the third quarter of 2024, China's game market achieved revenue of 91.766 billion yuan, an increase of 22.96% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 8.95%.
In the specific market composition, the mobile game market performed strongly, with actual sales revenue reaching 65.658 billion yuan, an increase of 20.20% month-on-month and a slight increase of 1.21% year-on-year. In contrast, the client game market was slightly weak, with actual sales revenue of 16.926 billion yuan, a slight decrease of 0.39% month-on-month and a slight increase of 0.40% year-on-year.
It is worth noting that the report specifically pointed out that the actual sales revenue of China's self-developed games in overseas markets reached US$5.169 billion this quarter, an increase of 15.40% quarter-on-quarter and a year-on-year increase of 20.75%. Among them, the outstanding performance of the domestic masterpiece "Black Myth: Wukong" in the international market is a key factor driving this growth.
