1. The mainland's GDP in the first three quarters increased by 4.8% year-on-year to 949746 billion yuan. 2. According to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the national real estate development investment from January to September 2024 was 7,868 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 10.1%. Among them, residential investment was 5,970.1 billion yuan, down by 10.5 percent. The sales area of newly built commercial buildings was 702.84 million square meters, down 17.1% year-on-year, and the sales volume was 6,888 billion yuan, down 22.7%. 7. China has provided food aid to Afghanistan, benefiting nearly 250,000 people. According to the World Food Agency, more than 75 percent of Afghanistan's population lacks adequate food.
