This year marks the 120th anniversary of the birth of Ba Jin, a master of modern and contemporary Chinese literature and former chairman of the Chinese Writers Association. In order to commemorate and commemorate Ba Jin's outstanding literary achievements and profound ideological connotations, today (18 July), the series of activities "Tribute to Master · Ba Jin" sponsored by the Sichuan Writers Association kicked off.
According to reports, the series of activities of "Tribute to Master · Ba Jin" includes three major sections: "Writers' Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition," "Ba Jin's Literary Spirit" forum, and "Sichuan Writers Welcome Home." In the "Writers' Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" section of the Ba Jin Memorial Hall, the works of many contemporary writers and poets in the contemporary literary world such as Jia Pingwa, Li Jingze, Ji Di Majia, Chen Yan, and Liu Liangcheng are gathered. Wang Meng, a 90-year-old "People's Artist", personally wrote the four characters "Missing Ba Jin" for this exhibition, and expressed his most sincere respect to Ba Lao. At the same time, the calligraphy works of Jin Yong, Mo Yan, Jiang Zilong, Ma Shitu and others were also exhibited in this writer's calligraphy and painting exhibition.
On the second floor of the Ba Jin Memorial Hall, the theme exhibitions of "A Hundred Years of Torrent Master Style - Ba Jin's Literary Life Exhibition", "Couple's Deep Love - Ba Jin and Xiao Shan's Love", "Friendship Tree - Ba Jin's Friendship", "Eternal Remembrance - Ba Jin's Hometown" and the special exhibition "The Complete Works of Ba Jin" officially met the audience. The exhibition includes photographs, manuscripts, various domestic and international editions of Ba Jin's works, and items used by Ba Jin during his lifetime.
In addition, the new exhibition innovatively designed and produced the gate of Ba Jin's former residence in Chengdu, Ba Jin's living room and other special shapes, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the life, writing, and reception scenes of a generation of literary giants in different periods.
At the opening ceremony, A Lai, vice chairman of the Chinese Writers Association and chairman of the Sichuan Writers Association, said that Sichuan's modern literature had a very magnificent beginning, and Ba Jin, who created "Home", "Spring" and "Autumn", profoundly reflected the social reality of Sichuan at that time. Shi Zhanjun, member of the Party Leadership Group and Secretary of the Secretariat of the Chinese Writers Association, paid tribute to Ba Jin on behalf of the Chinese Writers Association, saying that in his more than 80 years of creative career, Ba Jin has made outstanding contributions in the fields of creation, criticism, translation and foreign cultural exchanges, leaving an indelible literary classic. Ji Di Majia, former member of the party group, secretary of the Secretariat and vice chairman of the Chinese Writers Association, said that Ba Jin's writing career witnessed the turbulent 20th century and played a benchmark role in Chinese literature.
