In the face of the increasingly severe trend of social aging, how to alleviate the pressure of home care services has become an urgent problem to be solved. This year, Zhelin Town has made every effort to implement the "Elderly" family care capacity improvement project, providing comprehensive and professional care guidance for the mildly disabled elderly and their families in need in the jurisdiction, helping to improve family care capabilities, giving full play to the basic role of family care for the elderly, and relieving the pressure of family care.
"Adjust the height of the crutches to the appropriate position first, and then put them on the side, and support the crutches forward while the foot that is not conducive to the rope is stepped, and then take the healthy foot, the pace should be slow and steady." Recently, the professional instructors of the "Elderly Project" came to the home of 91-year-old Uncle Wang in Ruyi Jingyuan to provide family care guidance for his wife and children.
Uncle Wang is unable to walk due to advanced age and other physical reasons, and cannot take care of himself completely. His wife and children have not learned about nursing, and they are often unable to take care of them. After learning of the situation, the cadres of the neighborhood committee recommended him to sign up for the "Old My Elderly Plan" project.
In the "Elderly Program", such certified nurses, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists and other professionals will regularly provide door-to-door guidance to provide one-on-one guidance and hand-in-hand teaching for the elderly and their families such as daily life care, health care, nutritious diet, rehabilitation exercise, home safety, cognitive training, etc., so as to enhance the ability of family care and make the daily life of the disabled elderly more comfortable.
On the basis of regular services, Zhelin Town's "Old My Elderly Plan" has also added special services such as storage and psychological counseling to provide targeted and convenient services for the elderly and their caregivers in need.
In the home of Ms. Luo of Ruyi Jingyuan, Yang Li, a professional organizer, is giving guidance on storage and arrangement, and she explains the storage skills in simple terms in the form of "knowledge explanation + practical operation", and guides caregivers to make reasonable use of space from the aspects of drug storage, wardrobe arrangement, kitchen ordering, etc., so as to create a more neat and orderly home environment for the elderly, improve the quality of life, and prevent the occurrence of diseases. Ms. Luo said, "With the teachers of the 'Lao Wu Lao' project, I have learned skills such as drug classification, nursing care, and first aid treatment, which has benefited me a lot, and I feel a lot more relaxed as if I have a few more helpers at home." ”
In addition, the "Lao Wu Lao Program" project invited Yang Xianhua, a national second-level psychological counselor, senior lecturer (associate professor), a famous professor in Shanghai, and the former director of the teaching and research department of Fengxian Secondary School, to provide one-on-one targeted psychological counseling for families in need to alleviate the pressure of family care from the root.
In addition to individual counseling, Zhelin Town's "Lao Wu Lao Program" also combines theoretical knowledge with practical operation through a variety of teaching methods such as picture, interactive, demonstrative, and experiential through centralized teaching, and uses professional training to help community residents improve the theoretical knowledge of elderly care services, so that the concept of elderly care services changes from non-professional to more professional.
It is understood that since the launch of the "Old My Elderly Plan" in Zhelin Town this year, more than 30 courses have been opened for home care, self-prevention, and psychological care, providing services for 55 (household) mildly disabled elderly people and their families and families in the community, providing more than 400 hours of guidance for improving care ability and home guidance, which has been warmly welcomed by the elderly and families in the jurisdiction. "In the future, the project team will further optimize the classification guidance for the multi-level, diverse and personalized needs of the elderly, provide personalized services, appropriately expand and enrich the course content on the existing training courses, and provide more accurate, effective, systematic and comprehensive family care training services for the elderly in the jurisdiction." ”
