After a 3-0 win at Southampton, United failed to find the back of the net in their next three Premier League games, first in a goalless draw at Crystal Palace, then in a 3-0 defeat at home to Tottenham Hotspur and a 0-0 draw at Villa. If they can't find the back of the net against Brentford, the Reds will fail to score in four consecutive league games for the first time since 1989.

In fact, Manchester United has also failed to score at home in two consecutive league games, losing 0-3 to Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. The last time a United player scored in the league was on 14 September, and the last time they did so at home was against Fulham on 16 August.

Garnacho opened the scoring in the 96th minute against Southampton and has since scored zero goals in 315 minutes in three games against Crystal Palace, Tottenham and Villa, plus the first 45 minutes against Brentford.

However, just two minutes into the second half, Marcus Rashford's precise diagonal pass from the right was met by an unmarked Garnacho who swept home the ball.
