Track cycling men's race, Xu Chao broke the national record to advance

On the afternoon of August 4, in the Men's Cycling Qualifying Tournament for the Tokyo Olympic Games, China's Xu Chao ranked 11th and successfully entered the round of 24, while Dutch player Hogeland ranked first in 9.215 seconds and broke the Olympic record.

Xu Chao, who came in 13th place, rode a time of 9.584 seconds and also broke the national record of 9.602 seconds he set in Taiyuan last year.

Born in Shanghai in 1994, Xu Chao won the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, and in the last Rio Olympic Games, Xu Chao reached the quarterfinals through the resurrection race, becoming the first athlete in the history of China's men's cycling event to reach the top eight.
