Sydney, June 3 (China News Service) -- Title: The Northeast Sentiment of Deng Yuli, the "Godfather of Foreign Exchange" in Hong Kong
China News Service reporter Tao Shelan
Having traveled to 120 countries and regions, there has never been a place that has fascinated him as much as Northeast China, attracting him to revisit again and again. In the past 4 years, he has been to the northeast nearly 30 times, and Tianchi has been to 5 times. He recorded the natural scenery and humanistic history of the northeast in the lens and projected it on the text.
Deng Yuli, known as the "godfather of foreign exchange" in Hong Kong's financial circles, unveiled his new book "Dream Back to Changbai - Wandering the Great Northeast" and the Northeast Landscape Photography Exhibition at the University of Sydney on the 3rd, and shared his northeast feelings with the audience.
Born in Hong Kong in 1950 in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, Deng Yuli is a well-known entrepreneur and financier in Hong Kong, the founder and honorary chairman of The Hong Kong Hantec Group. He was a successful businessman and an active social activist.
"Because I do finance, I have the opportunity to go to many places for meetings. There are more places to go, and slowly I like to travel. When I travel, I also want to leave a little memory, so I take pictures. Now is the Internet age, take a good photo, I want to share it with my friends. That's what I'm writing. Deng Yuli said.
So far, Deng Yuli has published 9 travelogues, "Starting from Almaty: Deng Yuli Looks at the World", "Peninsula", "Six Countries of Europe", "Antarctica, The Distant but Lonely Ice and Snow World", etc., which is the world in his eyes.
But before 2012, Deng Yuli never wanted to go to northeast China to have a look. The Impression of the Hong Konger on the Northeast is "far away, cold, and tough." "By chance, in the early spring of 2012, Deng Yuli came to Harbin and immediately fell in love with the northeast. After the trip to Harbin, he extended his schedule and went to Changchun, Tianchi and other places.
As a result, the trip to the northeast was unobstructed. Since then, almost every year, Deng Yuli has arranged trips to the northeast, and so far there have been nearly 30 times.
"Someone asked me, you have been to 120 countries and regions, which country is the best? I said that every country has a unique landscape, a different culture. What is the difference compared to your own country? That's feelings. Back in the motherland, there is a sense of closeness. The motherland is my roots. Deng Yuli said.
Tong Xuejun, deputy consul general of the Chinese Consulate General in Sydney, who came to attend the event, said that Mr. Deng Yuli's patriotism and love for his hometown have left a deep impression on me. Whenever a natural disaster occurs in China, Mr. Deng always walks in front, donating money and materials, showing the feeling that blood is thicker than water. From this book, we can see his love for the motherland and his love for the northeast.
Deng Yuli said that unlike traveling to other countries and stepping on the land of the northeast, there will be more feelings, and there are many historical vicissitudes here. "The tenacity and fearlessness of the reclamation of the Northern Wilderness and the spirit of Daqing Iron Man's hard work and struggle are all examples of my entrepreneurship and life, which have inspired me to be more and more courageous and persevering in my entrepreneurial and life course."
There is a saying in the north that "go out and dumplings go home to the noodles". Every time he went to the northeast, Deng Yuli would always eat a bowl of home noodles first. "Maybe that's why I've been able to return to the northeast again and again." He laughed. (End)
