Recently, when the researchers of Longqi Mountain Nature Reserve carried out daily monitoring work, they found a large and beautiful unknown butterfly, which was determined to be a hymnoptera in the Lepidoptera eye butterfly family after consulting data and consulting experts, which is a new record species distributed in Longqi Mountain Reserve, and the number of butterfly species has reached 315 species so far.
The phyllonorycter is a large and beautiful butterfly species in the family Ophiopodidae, with a wingspan of 100 mm, black-brown wings, a wide yellow-white oblique band on the leading edge of the forewings, up to the posterior horn, and a vague black eye spot at the sub-apex, sometimes inconspicuous, with a small white dot on top and bottom; a short white margin spot on the top of the hindwing. On the opposite side of the wing, the forewings are clearly spotted, with two wavy sub-marginal lines, one each at the posterior sub-apical and gluteal region, two sub-outer margin lines, one on the outside that curves in an angle at three veins, and also a white scale scattered on the inside of the line and the gluteal area.
