Morphological characteristics: the fruiting body is blocky, flattened hemispherical or head-shaped, fleshy, 5 to 15 cm in diameter, unbranched. It is white when fresh and brown or light brown when dry. The base of the fruiting body is narrow or slightly short-stalked. The spines are densely drooping, covering the entire fruiting body, the flesh spines are cylindrical, the spines are 1 to 5 cm long and 1 to 2 mm thick, and the surface of each fine thorn is covered with a solid layer, and the fruit layer is densely grown with the burden and the cystic body, and the burden gives birth to 4 oxidal spores. The spores are transparent and colorless, smooth on the surface, spherical or approximately spherical in shape, and are (6.5 to 7.5) μm in size× (5 to 6.5) μm.
