A doctor who loves to keep fish
Day 1
I found that there was a layer of white foam floating in the corner of the fish tank, which at first thought was produced when the pumping cycle was played, but if you looked closely, the foam in normal times was different, very white, very delicate, and seemed to be a little sticky, and the key was that there was a blue manlong swimming around under the foam, and from time to time spit bubbles from his mouth. With a lot of fish farming experience and fish farming knowledge, I suddenly understood that it was Blue Manlong who was going to ovulate and breed.
I love keeping ornamental fish and have been fishing on and off for a few years. Watching colorful and graceful small fish swim around in the aquatic grass and rockery, chasing each other, is not only a visual enjoyment, but also a pleasant mood. Most of the fish I raise are small tropical fish, which are viviparous, and the direct birth is small fish, such as anchovies, red arrows, etc.; there are also oviparous, excreted eggs, fertilized in vitro, and then hatched into small fish, such as colorful swallows, pearls and so on. Blue manlongs are oviparous fish. I have been raising ornamental fish for so many years, and this is the first time I have encountered the breeding of raw fish, and my heart is full of joy and curiosity.
Whenever I had time, I would lie down in front of the fish tank and observe for a while. Only the males are creating foam nests. Its body color is much heavier than usual, dark blue, which is a manifestation of the estrus period, one can intimidate the enemy, and the other can attract females. I saw the male fish spit out strings of tiny bubbles from their mouths from time to time, sticking together, just like the bath bubbles we bathed in, delicate and white. This is the happy love nest of male and female fish, and it is also the cradle of the future to conceive baby fish, I think it must be very soft, very comfortable, very warm. The male fish became very fierce during this period, half of the entire fish tank was its territory, as long as the other fish were slightly closer to the bubble nest, the male fish quickly attacked, driving the enemy away, vowing to defend his territorial integrity to the death.
The next day
The bubble nest has been basically built, in fact, there is no shape, it is just a pinch of foam, but this is the male fish with his own small mouth to create a little bit, full of its hard work and expectations. Today's task, in addition to defending the homeland, is mainly to chase after the girlfriend. In fact, there is nothing to choose from, there is only one female blue manlong in the fish tank. I don't know if it was frightened by the male fish's momentum of defending the territory, or out of female reticence, the female fish, like other fish, hid far away, as soon as the male approached it, it desperately hid, repeatedly I don't know how many times I chased it, all ended in failure. Occasionally the females would cooperate, and the two fish bent their bodies against each other, tumbling back and forth in the water, rubbing against each other, as if they were dancing, like human lovers chasing and playing in the fields. At this time, their body color has become darker, and they are blue-purple or blue-green. However, such a scene lasted a short time, and the female quickly escaped, perhaps because the male was not attractive enough, or maybe she found me peeping! In short, I didn't see the female ovulating and the male fertilizing.
Day 3
In the early morning, when I came to the fish tank again, the bubble nest had changed, and there were countless small pearls in the white foam - fertilized eggs, pale yellow, slightly transparent, no more than 2 mm in diameter. It seems that it was the night of the candles in the cave room of the male and female fish last night. There are also some small pearls scattered next to the ovaries, and the male fish carefully picks those pearls back one by one with his mouth, spits them back into the bubble nest, and then goes to look for them, tirelessly and tirelessly. At the same time, it cares for the ovaries more carefully. From time to time, bubbles are spat out to thicken and encrypt the nest, and the defective parts are repaired completely. At this time, the male fish's defense of the homeland was tighter, and even when the female wanted to go home to see, she was driven away by it fiercely. In order not to make the male fish too nervous, too hard, and for the safety of the fish eggs, I isolated and locked up the other fish.
Day 4
Bubble Nest has always been built in the corner of a fish tank. This morning, I found that the bubble nest has moved, it has been moved around the heating rod, it seems that the male fish wants to find a warmer place for its children, a bit like Meng Mu Sanqian, this is still a very thoughtful father! However, for a fish 6 or 7 cm long, removing an ovary of about 28 cubic centimeters is not an easy task, and it is estimated that it has not rested all night. Also, the small pearls that were originally pale yellow turned gray-black.
Evening of the fourth day
The little fry hatched! Underneath the white foam, there is a layer of small fry attached, very small and small, too small to distinguish what color, gray? blue? (Adults are blue). If you don't look closely, you think it's a floating flocculent. They are up to 3 mm long, no more than 1 mm wide, and have round, transparent bellies, and the term should be called "yolk sac"! The Internet says that this fish can breed about 500-1000 fry at a time, anyway, I can't count it, densely packed. At this time, the fish father was more alert and more hard. It carefully brought back some mischievous, slippery, outlier fish and spit them back into the nest, for fear of being eaten by other fish. But some small fish are so naughty at birth, and they can only run around when they are on their toes, causing the fish father to keep swimming around and busy looking for children.
Because of the lack of preparation in advance, the fry were bred in large tanks, and in order not to let the small fish be eaten by the big fish, in order to facilitate management and feeding, I had to catch the small fry in a small tank and raise them alone. When my fishing was just put into the tank, the fish father rushed over and took a hard bite on the fishing. What a brave dad, this is a bigger fishing than him!
Watching a handful of small fish being fished away, the fish father was helpless and anxiously swam around the fishing fish, and its children were snatched away. Seeing this scene, my heart skimmed a trace of bitterness. People think that they are the most advanced and the most emotional, and they did not expect that there is also a deep affection for the animal kingdom. Thinking back to the scene of the fish father's hard work in the past few days, admiration and admiration suddenly emerged. From building nests, defending homes, moving ovaries, and caring for fish fry, everywhere is full of the hard work of fish fathers, and everywhere reflects the fatherly love of fish fathers. Although animals are inferior, their love is equally noble and great!
Fish Daddy, rest assured, I will take care of your baby for you, and when they grow up, there will be your father and son together.
