A man in Campo Grande, Brazil, was attacked by a crocodile on October 23 while ignoring warning signs and jumping into a lake to swim. Video taken by witnesses showed the man swimming for a short time before he saw an alligator moving rapidly toward him on the surface of the water. So the man immediately turned to the shore and tried to swim back as soon as possible. But the crocodile managed to catch up with him, biting his arm violently, and the man was dragged down the water. Fortunately, the crocodile did not continue its attack, and only a second later he came out of the water again and immediately swam to the shore. Blood could be seen on his right arm. The man looked so frightened that he said he didn't know there was a crocodile here. Another witness who runs a sugarcane juice stand nearby said it was the first time in five years she had seen someone go into the water. Surprisingly, the man was able to escape the deadly predator.
