Recently, a press conference on the cause of death of the late singer Shin Hae-chul and the direction of future response was held at the Utopia Memorial Hall in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, Seoul, attended by Shin Hae-cheol's brother-in-law Kim Hyung-yeol and lawyer Seo Sang-so on behalf of his bereaved family.

At the press conference, Shin's brother-in-law said that "he was able to sleep peacefully 10 days after his death." We as a family cannot bear his death and what happened during this period, and we do not believe that he has left us until now. The warmth and cheers you have given us have overcome the pain, and today I thank you all as a representative of the survivors. ”

"In order to find out the cause of his death, an autopsy was carried out at the National Search Institute on November 3, and we regret that so far there are differences of opinion. In response, the bereaved family and the brokerage company decided to publicize what happened before Shen Haizhe's death through a press conference. I hope that the president of S Hospital, who is the chief surgeon, can reveal the truth of the matter with the majesty of a professional doctor, the sense of responsibility of the chief surgeon, and the conscience of a doctor. ”

Shin Hae-cheol's brother-in-law also said: "Asan Hospital gave detailed information on emergency surgery, which is very helpful in finding out the truth, and we are also very grateful to the hospital for this." We hope to speak on behalf of Shin Hae-cheol and patients who have died of medical malpractice, and we hope to improve the evidence system for medical malpractice. ”

Shin Hae-cheol repeated his condition for several consecutive days after undergoing bowel stenosis surgery at S Hospital on October 17, and finally died of hypoxic-ischemic brain injury on October 27. His family, persuaded by his friends, decided to conduct an autopsy to reveal the cause of death. The first findings released by the National Search Institute on November 4 mentioned the possibility of exogenous injury. Shin Hae-chol's family wants to prosecute S Hospital for criminal and civil crimes, and the Seoul Songpa Police Station, which is in charge of investigating the case, will also investigate the staff of the hospital.
