In order to attract business, he added ingredients such as orange cakes on the basis of dragon and phoenix cakes, and glued sesame seeds on both sides of the cake, which was the predecessor of "Yellowstone Harbor Cake", which was called "Heyi Cake" at that time.
Legend 2:
During the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, Yin Hua, a wooden row merchant in Daye County, drove a platoon with Ma Limen to do business in suzhou. Once, Yin and Ma drove down the river to the area of Huangshi Port, and because the water of the wooden row was abnormal, they could not dodge it, and suddenly knocked over the oncoming salt boat. The salt merchants did not comply, and the lawsuit was fought until the capital. Yin and Ma were afraid of losing the lawsuit, so when they entered Beijing, they specially chose the local famous consensual cake as a gift. After arriving in Beijing, Yin and Ma gave the consensual cake to all the officials, and attached a poem: The rows are like mountains, and the boats are like Yanfei. Mingjin sounded three times, why didn't Yan fly.
When the Tongzhi Emperor saw this poem, he felt that it was reasonable, so he broke the wood and was not guilty. The lawsuit was won, and the wooden row merchant had the heart to pay tribute to the emperor with generous gifts, but he had no choice but to spend thousands of dollars to fight the lawsuit, and his pocket was empty, so he had to dare to offer the consensual cake. Unexpectedly, after tasting it, the Tongzhi Emperor was overjoyed and praised this crisp and fragrant consensual cake, and with joy, he gave the name "Ruyi". Therefore, the consensual cake is also called ruyi cake. Later, in the name of the place of origin, it was called "Yellowstone Harbor Cake".
