Liu Yizhi (1908-1944), also known as Liu Shiyi, was a native of Wujiazhuang Village. In 1925, he was admitted to the Second Normal School of Baoding and joined the Communist Party of China in 1927. During the study period, he actively participated in various political activities. In 1929, together with Liu Hongtao, a communist party member studying in the Second Division, he returned to Wujiazhuang in his village to develop 13 peasant party members and established the first party branch in Wuji County. In April 1930, he taught at The High School in southwest China. Secretly recruit party members in schools and form school party branches. In April 1931, with the approval of the Zhizhong Special Committee, the Wuji County Committee of the Communist Party of China was established, and Liu Yizhi was the first secretary of the county party committee. Because of his active involvement in the teacher and student movement, he was arrested and imprisoned by the reactionary authorities and sent to Beiping Caolanzi Prison.
Baoding Provincial Second Normal School. The school is a school with a glorious tradition. The Chinese Communist Party began to operate in 1923. After his grandfather Liu Yizhi was admitted to the school in 1925, he began to participate in revolutionary activities and joined the Communist Party of China at the school in 1927
(Beijing Tongzhou Luhe Middle School.) In the 1920s, the school was the cradle of the Revolution in Peking Tongzhou. Zhou Wenbin, the secretary of the first party branch of the school established in 1927, has a direct connection with Comrade Li Dazhao. After my grandfather was expelled from the Baoding Second Division in 1928 for participating in revolutionary activities, he went to Luhe Middle School in Beiping Tongzhou for a period of school. He was later expelled for participating in revolutionary activities at the school.

Until 1937, after the "July 7" incident, he was rescued from prison by the party and returned to Wuji to participate in the War of Resistance)
(Before the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in 1937, Caolanzi Prison held more than 400 Communist Party members, many of them senior party cadres.) )

After the July 7 Incident, Liu Yizhi returned to Wuji County after being released, and they first found some Communist Party members to understand the situation. On the basis of restoring the party organizations in Wujiazhuang, Southwest Wang, Guzhuang, nanniu, and other villages, Lu Xiusheng of guozhuang's "Pure Ying Book Society" and Niu Shiji of Nanniu Village established the CPC Chengxi Central Branch, with Liu Yizhi as the secretary of the branch, and they agreed that the most important task was to get in touch with the higher-level party organizations.
In early September, Liu Yizhi and others entrusted Liu Hongtao and Jia Yimin to Shanxi to contact the party's relations, and in Taiyuan they met Sun Zhiyuan, who led them to Jingxing to find Comrades Li Xuefeng and Yang Xiufeng of the Jixi People's Training Office (Hebei Provincial Cpc Committee, also known as the Pinghan Provincial CPC Committee), and took over the party's relations, and the provincial party committee instructed them to restore and develop the party's organization, form an armed contingent, and carry out guerrilla warfare behind enemy lines. The provincial party committee also designated Comrade Liu Hongtao as a special commissioner of the party, a military commissar, and secretary of the Wuji County CPC Committee. Li Dezhong, a representative of the Northern Bureau, conveyed to them the views of organizing anti-Japanese detachments and carrying out guerrilla warfare. According to the instructions of the provincial party committee, a new provisional county party committee was organized, including Liu Hongtao, secretary, Liu Yizhi, member of the organization committee, Zhai Sixeng, member of the propaganda committee, Jia Yimin, and Bai Yingjie.
One day in early October, Liu Yizhi and Jia Yimin rode bicycles through Pinghan Road, passing through Quyang, Lingshan, and finding Sun Zhiyuan in Fuping City, and Sun Zhiyuan took Liu Yizhi and Jia Yimin to meet Wang Ping and Liu Xiufeng (the head of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee). They reported on their work and requested to send military personnel to Wuji County. After research, the leader drew an old Red Army platoon leader Fan Xinzhi from the teaching team to Wuji to help organize the anti-Japanese armed forces, and gave the unit the title of "The Fifth Detachment of the Jin-Cha-Ji Anti-Japanese Volunteer Army".
After Liu Yizhi, Jia Yimin, Fan Xinzhi and others returned to Wuji, they held a county party committee meeting with Liu Hongtao, Zhai Sisheng, Bai Yingjie, and others at the Guozhuang "Pure Ying Book Club". He conveyed the important instructions of the responsible comrades of the provincial party committee and focused on the study of how to form an anti-Japanese contingent.
In order to restore the party's organization and form an anti-Japanese armed force, Liu Yizhi worked day and night. He traveled to more than 50 villages in the north and northeast of the city, and carried out in-depth and meticulous propaganda and mobilization work through the relationships of classmates, teachers, friends, relatives and so on. He publicized everywhere the county party committee's policy of "some people come out, there are people who have money, there are guns out of guns, anti-Japanese salvation, and everyone has the responsibility" and carried out propaganda and agitation work in an in-depth and meticulous manner, which achieved great results. Gao Shangyong and Ding Longqian, who graduated from the township teacher, broke through the family's obstruction and joined the anti-Japanese contingent. Driven by them, many intellectuals enthusiastically signed up for the army.
Through everyone's efforts, this anti-Japanese team soon grew to more than 300 people. Later, he joined the anti-Japanese contingent organized by the Gaocheng underground party headed by Ma Yutang and Xia Fuhai. On December 3, 1937, he conquered Wuji City, annihilated more than 300 enemy defenders, and executed the traitor Liu Daxi. This was the first major victory won by the fifth detachment since its establishment, which boosted morale and strengthened confidence in victory.
On December 18, the traitor Zhai Ergou attracted Japanese troops from Xinle, and the fifth detachment took the initiative to withdraw from the county seat, and went to Shenze and a part of Lü Zhengcao's troops to form the "Fifth Regiment of the Anti-Japanese People's Self-Defense Army in Jizhong Province", and Liu Yizhi served as the chief of the propaganda section of the regiment's political department.
In April 1938, a party representative meeting was held in Jizhong District. After the meeting, Liu Yizhi served as the director of the political office of the 26th Brigade. One day, someone from the family asked Liu Yizhi to go back to visit his critically ill father. However, Liu Yizhi was busy with the work of the leaders of the troops all day and never went home to visit. Soon, his father died, and he had no time to go home to mourn, so he could only let his eldest son, Liu Lutong, who had just joined the army, go home and bury the old man
Later, Liu Yizhi was incorporated into the Second Brigade of the Third Regiment of the Kang Da General School and served as the director of the Political Office. He trained more than 4,000 grass-roots military and political cadres for the Third Column of the Eighth Route Army and the local armed forces in Central Hebei, and made important contributions to the anti-Japanese struggle in Central Hebei. In September 1939, the party organization reviewed his arrest and demoted him from regimental to company level. In order to resist Japan, he never considered personal gains and losses, and still worked in the front line of the War of Resistance.
(This is a sequence list of cadres compiled in 1940 by the Anti-Third Regiment affiliated with the Second Branch of kang university.) Among them, the political instructors of the political and religious units included the name of his grandfather Liu Yizhi. In that year, his father Liu Yizhi was persecuted and censored by the left-leaning line because he was imprisoned in Beiping, and was demoted from a regiment-level cadre to a general political instructor at the company level. But he did the right thing, conscientiously and conscientiously became a good political teacher of the Kang Da, and trained thousands of Kang Da members. After a long review, the party gave him the correct conclusion, and then he re-dressed and ran to the front line of the anti-Japanese battlefield)
In the autumn of 1943, Liu Yizhi was transferred from the prefectural committee to Sanlian County (Gu'an, Yongqing, Baxian and Anci) as the director of the Propaganda Department of the county party committee. Sanlian County is an enemy-occupied area located more than 100 miles south of Beijing. After Liu Yizhi came, he took the initiative to ask to go to remote areas to open up work. One day in April 1944, Liu Yizhi took the party's secret documents and was escorted by Liu Zongyi (a former Sanlian County cadre), and the guards Li Qi and the three of them got up from the Suqiao area along the Daqing River west of Shengfang and traveled more than 100 miles at night to the northeast of Gu'an to carry out their work. One day and one night, Liu Yizhi led three comrades to Jijiazhuang to carry out work, encountered the enemy on the road, moved while returning fire, and was shot and killed 200 meters south of Jijiazhuang.
Postscript
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Wuji County Committee of the Communist Party of China in Hebei Province. It is also the 77th anniversary of the heroic sacrifice of my father, Liu Yizhi.
Because my father was born, lived and fought in the era of the first civil revolutionary war and the War of Resistance Against Japan, and was separated from his family for a long time, there were almost no images and written materials left.
For example, my grandfather joined the Communist Party of China in 1927 during the most difficult and lowest period of the Chinese revolution. This is undoubtedly because when my grandfather went to baoding provincial second normal school in 1925, he was influenced by Li Dazhao, Chen Duxiu and other party predecessors, so that he established a firm belief in communism at a young age!
In addition, my grandfather attended Luhe Middle School in Tongzhou, Beijing in 1928. In the 1920s, Tongzhou Luhe Middle School was one of the cradles of the Tongzhou Revolution, and its first branch secretary had direct contact with Comrade Li Dazhao.
In addition, during the Great Revolution, his father was arrested and imprisoned three times for his long-term revolutionary activities. He was imprisoned for the third time, and was imprisoned in Caolanzi Prison in Beiping for several years. It was not until the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan that he was rescued from prison by the Party. Among the about 400 communist party members who were detained in this prison at that time, there were many famous leaders of our party, such as Liu Lantao, Bo Yibo, An Ziwen, and Yang Xianzhen. His father was tortured in prison, but he was strong and unyielding. He must have had contacts with these famous leaders of our Party, the revolutionaries.
Unfortunately, due to the age and long-term war environment, almost no images and written materials have been left. When my mother was alive, we mentioned this to her old man. The mother said that the enemy came to the house all day long to search and arrest people, and how dare they leave those things!
Therefore, on this special day, I would like to forward the article of Comrade Geng Binghai, a fellow villager of Wuji, to express my deepest remembrance of the martyr Liu Yizhi, who heroically sacrificed his life for the cause of the liberation of the party and the people at the age of 38! At the same time, I also express my highest respect and most heartfelt thanks to Comrade Geng Binghai, the author of the article and the inheritor of the red gene!
His grandfather, Liu Yizhi, was a loyal and excellent member of the Communist Party of China, and he interpreted the nature of the party's purpose with his blood and life. He lives forever in my heart and in our whole family!
