The ancients said: "Thirty years of Hedong, thirty years of Hexi, feng shui turns", in fact, this sentence is not bad at all, when people have momentum, there are also times when they lose power. Treat people well when you are in power, and only when you lose power are someone willing to help you; if you always bully the weak when you gain power, if you are too domineering, when you lose power, not only will no one help, but you will also be doubled in revenge.
The Takeda family of the Sengoku period in Japan is the most obvious example, the Takeda family rose from Takeda Shinho, became stronger than Takeda Shingen, and died out of Takeda Katsurai. Takeda Nobuho had courage and determination, and during his tenure as governor of the family, he dominated the Kai Kingdom, and then began to expand abroad, such as uniting with the Uesugi clan against the Hojo clan, helping Imakawa Yoshimoto succeed him, and infiltrating the Shinano Kingdom.
However, due to some problems in establishing an heir, he wanted to depose Takeda Shingen and establish his second son Takeda Nobuharu, but was exiled by Takeda Shingen and some of his vassals. After that, Takeda Shingen took charge of the Takeda clan, and in a very short time he calmed down the turmoil within the Kai kingdom, and then began to carry out ambitious expansion plans, annexing the Shinano Kingdom, and conspiring with Tokugawa Ieyasu to divide the territory of the Imagawa clan.
However, the most enjoyable thing was the five battles of Kawanakajima with Kenshin Uesugi and the defeat of the combined forces of Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu in the Three Sides, but just as he was preparing to continue "Kamino", he died suddenly of illness. His son Takeda Katsurai succeeded to the throne, and Takeda Katsurai inherited his father's ambitions, but did not inherit his father's ability, even with the strongest family group to assist, he still lost again and again.
After the Battle of Nagashina, the Takeda clan weakened rapidly, and the walls fell to the ground, not only Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu attacked Takeda Katsurai, but even the Hojo clan sent a large army to seize the Takeda family's territory. Because Takeda Shingen had been too domineering before, no daimyo was willing to come out to help the Takeda family, and because of Takeda Katsurai's own misdeeds, many of the old ministers eventually defected from the Takeda family.
In the end, takeda Katsurai, who rebelled against him, committed suicide in Tianmu Mountain Field, along with his wife and concubine Takeda Nobunaga, and others, and the famous Kafue Takeda clan perished. It was not until the Tokugawa Hidetada period that Takeda Nobuchi, the son of Takeda Shingen's second son, Nobumichi Umino, inherited the Takeda clan due to the recommendation of Takeda Shingen's second daughter, Nobumito Umino, and only then did Takeda re-inherit it.
But the world only remembers the Kaffei Takeda family, but forgets that in the late Sengoku period, there was another Takeda family, although far less brilliant than the Kai Takeda family, but for a period of time, it was also a force that could not be ignored, this is the Wakasa Takeda clan; this Wakasa Takeda clan originated from the Kiyowa Genji Yoshimitsu stream, is a tributary of the Takeda clan of the Kaiga Genji clan, and in his early years he followed the shogun Ashikaga Yoshinori and won the position of Wakasa Ichigoku and Wakasa Guardian.
Although this Wakasa Kingdom can only be regarded as a small country, with a territory of about 85,000 stones, although the area is small and easy to be besieged, it has a natural port, so it is not bad; in the Warring States period, the Wakasa Takeda clan, which has developed for several generations, took advantage of the chaos in the world to invade the Danhou Kingdom, incorporated a part of the Land of the Tengo clan into the territory of the Takeda clan, and began the pace of the Wakasasa Takeda clan's external expansion.
This Danhou Kingdom can only be regarded as a small country, with a territory of about 111,000 stones, if it can completely annex the Danhou Kingdom, this if the Karasa Takeda clan can also be regarded as a daimyo with about 200,000 stones; although this territory is not considered to be nothing in the eyes of the Kafue Takeda clan, but if the Narrow Kingdom and the Dango Kingdom are counted as the Kiuchi domain, if Takeda Shingen was able to open the northern harbor passage at that time and unite with the Wakasa Takeda clan, the chances of "Shangluo" were still great.
It's just a pity that Takeda Shingen's way north was blocked by Uesugi Kenshin. Although the country was small and weak, this Takeda clan was also ambitious, and the sixth generation of the family governor Takeda Motomitsu also "went up to Luo" at the invitation of Hosokawa Takakoku, but unfortunately this Hosokawa Takanate was too weak, and the coalition army was quickly attacked by Hosokawa Harumoto and Miyoshi Motonaga; takeda Motomitsu fled back to China and gave up the position of governor to his son Takeda Nobutoshi.
This Takeda Nobutoshi was weaker, and the Wakasa Takeda clan fell into a long period of civil strife, eventually being annexed by the Echizen overlord Asakura clan; although the last governor of the house, Takeda Motoaki, always wanted to restore his old domain, and even turned to Mitsuhide for this, but with the defeat of Mitsuhide, Takeda Motoaki's hopes were again dashed, and he was eventually forced to commit suicide under the pursuit of Niwa Nagahide.
However, in the end, Takeda Motoaki's wish came true, because his wife Kyogoku Ryuko was taken in by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Toyotomi Hideyoshi was also extremely fond of Kyogoku Ryuko and set up as a side room; Toyotomi Hideyoshi could not withstand the "pillow wind" of Kyogoku Ryuko, and passed on the two sons born to Takeda Motoaki and Kyogoku Ryuko as Toyotomi Hideyoshi's brother-in-law Kinoshita Ieyashi, and changed his name to Kinoshita Katsutoshi and the second son to Kinoshita Toshigame.
Among them, the eldest son Kinoshita Katsutoshi was later awarded the 62,000-stone domain of Kohama County, Wakasa Prefecture, and the second son, Kinoshita Toshibo, was awarded the 30,000-stone domain of Takahama County, Wakasa Province; it is also ironic that Takeda Motoaki's long-cherished wish in life was realized in his wife, but the process was not very glorious, and these two sons have also become the sons of others, in Japan, where the family name is not heavy on blood, in fact, is this Wakasa Takeda clan already extinct?
