According to the Islamic Republic of Iran News Agency reported on October 31, local time, the head of the Iranian passive defense organization, Grimleisa Jalilli, said in an interview on the evening of the 30th that the network attack on Iran's refueling system was initiated by the United States and Israel a few days ago, and Iran's domestic factors may also be involved, and Iranian security agencies are currently investigating.

According to Iranian media reports, at about 11:00 a.m. local time on October 26, the Iranian government's limited-price refueling system had a technical failure due to a network attack, and gas stations in many places in Iran could not refuel normally. Since most of the Iranian people refueled through the limit fuel system, this cyber attack caused a lot of turmoil in Iran.

Jalyly said that 3 hours after the cyber attack, 30% of the gas stations resumed offline refueling services, and 12 hours later, 60% of the gas stations resumed offline refueling services. This cyberattack on refueling systems occurs at the middleware (a type of software between application systems and system software) and is a very sophisticated and difficult to remove.
