Sachet Inheritor / Lu Ailing
Lu Ailing, the representative inheritor of Zhengzhou intangible cultural heritage sachet, is a master of arts and crafts in Zhengzhou. Since childhood, under the influence of his grandmother, he has loved folk handicrafts, especially after retirement, with the support of his family, he has devoted himself to the excavation and creation of sachet art, forming his own unique style. Nowadays, there are more than 100 varieties of knitting, fabric animals and plants, etc., among which the Lu's sachet earrings have become a business card of Zhengzhou sachet.
Sachets
The sachet is a product of ancient Chinese farming culture marked by male and female weaving, and is the remnant and rebirth of traditional Chinese culture that has survived for thousands of years.
The sachet was first called Rong Odor, qu Yuan's "Leaving the Troubles" has "Hu Jiang Hedge and Pei Zhi Xi, Sewing Qiulan thought it was Pei", the spices at that time were Pei Zhi and Qiu Lan. In the Ming Dynasty, there was still a stinking name. Traditional Chinese sachets are mostly made of silk cloth and contain spices such as male yellow, smoked grass, and wormwood leaves. It is said that sachets can avoid evil spirits, and most of them will be accompanied by incense buns during the Dragon Boat Festival.
In modern times, sachets are not only an effective carrier of traditional culture, but also play an irreplaceable role in interpersonal communication, beautifying the environment, cultivating sentiments, and sending sentiments.

Born in 1956 in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, Lu Ailing began to follow her mother to contact sachets at the age of 6, and learned to make sachets with her grandmother at the age of 8. Young Lu Ailing is talented, with many shapes and tricks that she can copy at a glance, and she is even better.
"If you don't do it, don't do it, do it well" These are the words that Lu Ailing remembers in her heart, and it is also her grandmother's teaching to Lu Ailing. Adhering to this sentence, the sachets made by Ai Ling are lifelike and exquisite.
Over the years, Lu Ailing has been committed to the inheritance and research of folk skills, her works are rich in the connotation of the Central Plains culture, but also has the characteristics of personal unique creativity, very clever use of cloth patterns, made into a unique shape, distinctive sachet, delicate workmanship, a wide range of materials, her works are also collected by a number of intangible cultural heritage museums. The unique Chinese medicine formula is well received by the masses, and many people sigh and say: "I smelled the taste of my childhood, and I haven't seen it for a long time!" ”
Lu Ailing's sachets, both with the times, but also back to the basics, her works are designed with ornaments, pendants, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, anklets, rings, etc., by the traditional flat sachet gradually three-dimensional, and toys combined, there are traditional, there are simulations, cartoons, there are fashionable sachets, all seasons are suitable, loved by people.
In 2017, it was exhibited in the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center International Handmade Exhibition, the effect is very good, many people come to see and buy Lu's sachets;
From 2017 to 2019, a personal incense exhibition was held in the Zhengzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall, and lu's incense bags were exhibited and sold more in the provincial museum and the Zhengzhou intangible cultural industry exhibition hall, so Lu Ailing was affectionately called "grandma of the sachet" by many children.
In 2017 and 2018, Lu Ailing was invited to Nanyang Sheqi County to support rural culture and impart the knowledge and skills of sachets; over the years, she often went to schools, kindergartens, factories and communities to spread this folk skill.
Today, Lu's sachets are included in the school curriculum of Zhengzhou No. 51 Middle School, thus giving Chinese teenagers a close contact with the intangible cultural heritage of sachets.
