The Secretariat of the Executive Council of the HKSAR Government confirmed to Nandu reporters that on November 2, Carrie Lam, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and some members of the Executive Council will attend the highest honor funeral ceremony held by the Force for the death of Chief Inspector (posthumously) Lam Wan-yee, and the Executive Council will adjourn on the same day. It is reported that Lam Wan-yee's funeral will be divided into two parts: the traditional ceremony and the police funeral, and the traditional ceremony funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Hung Hom World Funeral Home on the same day, with the presence of the Secretary for Civil Service Nie Tak-kuen, the Commissioner of Police, Siu Chak-yi, the Customs Director Ho Ho-shan and others.

Nandu previously reported that on September 25, Lam Wan-yee, then senior inspector of the Hong Kong Marine Police, was killed in the line of duty when she was chasing and intercepting smuggled speedboats in the waters around Tuen Mun Sandbank in a patrol boat. Subsequently, the Guangdong and Hong Kong police set up a special case team to strengthen intelligence exchange and investigate the case in an all-round way. On October 11, the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department announced that the two main perpetrators of the case had been arrested in Guangdong within a week after the incident.

On the morning of 22 October, at the Force Commemoration Day ceremony, the Commissioner of Police of the HKSAR Government, Mr Siu Tak-yi, while mourning the death of The Hong Kong Police Force and Auxiliary Police officers who died in the line of duty, expressed great sorrow for the death of Lam Wan-yee, "Wan-yee's dedication to her duties and the sacrifice of her precious life to maintain law and order in Hong Kong will forever be recorded in the hearts of every colleague and the general public. ”

According to Hong Kong media reports, on the afternoon of November 1, Lam Wan-yee placed a large number of flower signs inside and outside the spiritual hall of Hung Hom World Funeral Home, many of which were presented by Hong Kong disciplined force organizations, representatives of various police districts and government departments of different special administrative regions. At the same time, some members of the public also presented flower signs to pay tribute to Lin Wanyi.

It is reported that on November 2, Lin Wanyi's funeral will be divided into two parts, at 9:30 a.m. the traditional ceremony will be held in the funeral home spiritual hall, after the ceremony is completed, the funeral team funeral will be held inside the funeral hall and outside the funeral home, and then the funeral procession will go to the headquarters of the Marine Police Sub-district of the Shipyard Dock of the Shipyard of the Aung Shipy island government for road sacrifice, and then hold a burial ceremony in Heshi Haoyuan.
