There are prostitutes, coachmen, patrols, different lives, different experiences, different circumstances, some people are sighing, some are admired, and some are amazing. Everyone has a good side to the protagonist, and Mr. Lao She's refined language makes every character come alive.
Because I didn't understand the background, I borrowed a lot of book reviews.
First, the crescent moon
The story tells the story of a mother and daughter who were forced to survive in the old society and became a prostitute. Lao She uses a poetic lyrical tone to show a history of women's survival mixed with blood and tears under the turbulent environment. The novel runs through the whole story with the intention of the crescent moon, and people's beliefs are like a crescent moon that is swallowed up by a black cloud little by little, struggling in a dark society, and finally covering the bleak hope in the heart and becoming a complete part of the shadow.
One of the most shocking passages of the novel is that "we are like two dogs that have no one to take care of, for our mouths, we have to suffer everything, as if we have nothing else in us, only a mouth." For this mouth, we had to sell everything else. In the face of hunger, the self-respecting and self-loving daughter betrayed her body, and it was also at this moment that she understood her mother and dissolved the hatred she once had for her mother. The wind and dust degeneration in the dilemma is a lament for women who have been ignored under the change of the times.

The protagonist has read books in his childhood, has a good memory, is intelligent, kind, has the ability, and has a rise in his heart from a young age, hoping that he can find an official job and live a decent life for a lifetime. But he was born at the wrong time, and in that dark age, he understood that "the original errand was not prepared for the ability." He could not get out of the predicament for the rest of his life, and could not get rid of the unfair treatment of tragic fate. This illustrates the fact that a person with good qualities has no place to play in the dark times, and his ascension in the darkness can only be an illusion, making the emptiness in the heart even greater.

A warrior, in the face of the great changes of the times, can change his dart game into an inn, which is "seeing through". If you think about it, sober people are more likely to show tragedy in the context of irresistible history, if the sand dragon is still immersed in the jianghu world, perhaps live more happily, just like Don Quixote, who is intoxicated with knight culture, after mixing reality and ideals, people are like fish in the world they have created.
Sha Zilong clearly knew that the advance of history had thrown the rivers and lakes away, and even he might have seen the weakness of his fists and feet in front of the guns, so he had to make a final resistance to this world and enter the coffin with his own ability. In my opinion, "not passing on" is not stubbornness, but rather he gives himself the last dignity as a warrior, and if he can't stop it, he will bear all his sorrows.

"Liutun's" is not a small family jasper, gentle and lovely, but a long face, yellow hair, crossbow eyes, snake and scorpion heart, forty or so old woman, she coaxes old man Xia and old lady Xia to be happy, while competing for the property status of the family. In the end, he revealed his true face, first drove Xia Dajie out of the house, and then pulled off old man Xia's beard, drove old man Xia and old lady Xia away, and then scolded Xia Lianfei, and finally the bird occupied the magpie's nest, holding the power of life and death in the Xia family.
As the old saying goes, people are doing it, the heavens are watching, and good is rewarded with good, and evil is rewarded with evil. "Liutun's" was eventually punished and imprisoned.

7. Good people
This book expresses hypocritical people, originally Ms. Mu is hypocritical and cold, but the author calls her "good person"; originally her breakfast is extremely rich, but said that "her breakfast is very simple"; originally she was extremely selfish and indifferent, but said that she "always understands people and loves people" and "always thinks so thoughtfully to others". The author uses this language of affirmation and praise to describe her obvious hypocrisy and narcissism, which makes this character more despicable and ridiculous, more powerful than blunt accusations, and more intense expression of disgust.
