"The great charm of the stage is the sense of live"

At the age of 17, Wang Hong entered the university to study film and television drama performance. Although she had not been systematically studied before, with her keen sense of perception, her performances were able to detach themselves from the program from the beginning and bring a real, natural force.

After graduation, she participated in her first drama work "Complex". Recalling the feeling of debuting on stage, Wang Hong said: "Facing the audience and rehearsing privately are two completely different experiences. My voice was very good, but the first time I stood on the stage, I was so nervous that I couldn't speak, and my hands and feet were cold, afraid that I wouldn't act well. ”

With the increase of performance experience and the deepening of understanding, Wang Hong began to adapt and enjoy the performance on the stage. She realized that the biggest charm of the stage lies in its sense of presence:

On stage, the actors can communicate with the audience in front of them in real time to get the most real feedback, and the audience's input can bring the actors the greatest sense of accomplishment, which is difficult to experience when rehearsing or shooting film and television dramas.

At the event site, Wang Hong also shared an experience that impressed her most in the early days of her acting career. There was a period of intensive performance arrangement, and she needed to perform more than twenty plays in a month.

One night, she suddenly had a high fever, but needed to arrive at the theater before two o'clock in the afternoon, and Wang Hong's partner told her: "After my hand touched your head, I felt very hot." ”

"I was sad and scared, I couldn't let the audience see it, because the audience didn't need to know your situation, and the actor had to always show the most perfect side when facing the audience." Wang Hong said: "An actor should have a sense of awe, and this reverence is reflected in the fact that you have to overcome all kinds of difficulties, portray the characters with your heart, and make every detail of the performance worthy of the audience." ”

Take to the podium to pass on the artistic experience

Offstage, Wang Hong is also a teacher at Xinghai Conservatory of Music, passing on his artistic experience to successive generations of students through a three-foot podium.

When teaching professional courses, Wang Hong combines classic performance theory with personal practical experience to provide students with careful guidance and valuable advice. She believes that in addition to external conditions such as appearance, voice, and temperament, a truly good actor must have keen insight and try to find the contradictions and conflicts in the depths of the character's heart.

From the stage to the podium, Wang Hong told the artist's original intention: if you want to act well, you must first be a good person

"It's not interesting to make the characters all the same, you have to find his personality traits for every character, and it's not just imagination. Our performance must originate from life, and use keen insight to understand life. Wang Hong said to her students.

This requires actors not only to create characters in the script, but also to observe and read, combined with various factors such as character experience, family environment, and era background, and finally show a three-dimensional and plump character image.

Taking the art of recitation as an example, when facing a text, Wang Hong said: "It is difficult to fully understand the work only by repeating the recitation, and the reciter also needs to understand the author's situation, the background of the text era and the similar works of the same era, only in this way can it be possible to fully and accurately present the content to be expressed in the text." ”

Teacher, "learn to be a teacher, act as a model for the world". In addition to professional skills, on the podium, Wang Hong spares no effort to teach students the moral standards of being a person and practicing art. Because in the first class of learning to act, the teacher told her: "Life is like a play, drama is like life, if you want to act well, you must first be a good person." Performance on stage often reflects what an actor looks like in life. ”
