On December 5 last year, Li Girl, a resident of Huangsha Town, Matjiang County, found that her dog was missing, and she did not return home for several days, suspecting that she had been hunted and killed, and then called the police for help. After receiving the alarm, the police immediately rushed to the scene, and after preliminary investigation, found that a white car was suspected of major crimes.
The police tracked along the line and found that the two suspects were in the villages and communities of Huangsha Town on the same day, going around for many hours, poisoning and killing more than ten dogs, and finally, entering the Bayi Village of Huangsha Town, and the police immediately arranged for personnel to carry out patrols and control.
Soon, the police arrested the suspects Bao and Zuo, and the two confessed to stealing dogs by firing poison darts with crossbows.
In the investigation, the police also found that things are far from simple, behind the two suspects is an organized criminal gang, and there are several suspects all over Hunan, Guizhou, and other places, and play the role of hunting, purchasing, slaughtering and selling. From October 2020 to December 2020 alone, more than 100 dogs were illegally hunted in Huangsha, Gaofeng, Gao'an and other townships in Matjiang County, with a sales amount of tens of thousands of yuan.
Subsequently, the Police of Matjiang arrested a total of 7 suspects after traveling to Hunan, Guizhou, Sichuan and other places. Among them, the suspects Bao X and Zuo X specially used crossbows to fire poisonous darts to illegally hunt other people's dogs, and the suspects Xia X, Chen X, Liu X and others bought and slaughtered them, and finally sold them to Hunan and other places for others to eat.
In the next step, the public security organs will transfer the case of criminal suspects Bao X, Zuo X and others suspected of producing and selling toxic and harmful food to the review and litigation in accordance with the law.
The police remind that the poisons of dog thieves are mainly cyanide and succinylcholine, of which cyanide is commonly known as "three-step pour", and it is easy to leave a certain amount of raw drugs in the body of the hunting dog because of the dosage and other issues. Therefore, the police suggest that in addition to being vigilant and optimistic about the dogs at home, the public should not casually buy or eat such illegal dog meat that has not been inspected and quarantined, and eating these dogs is likely to produce adverse reactions such as vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea, etc., and even endanger life.
