After being exposed to oppose South Korea's participation in the enlarged Group of Seven (G7) summit, the Japanese government "shot" at South Korea again. According to Yonhap News Agency, the Japanese government began an anti-dumping investigation into South Korea's potassium carbonate on the 29th.

The report quoted Japanese media sources as saying that the Japanese government said on the 29th that it was suspected of selling potassium carbonate in South Korea at an improper low price in Japan.

The report further said that the Japanese government will complete the investigation of the export price and normal price of potassium carbonate produced in South Korea within the next year, and decide whether to levy anti-dumping duties after confirming whether the domestic industry has suffered substantial losses and other issues.

According to Japan's Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, which is in charge of anti-dumping investigations, South Korea exported 5,293 tons of potassium carbonate to Japan for the whole of last year.

A day earlier (28th), Japan's Kyodo News Agency broke the news that in response to the idea of expanding the Group of Seven (G7) summit proposed by US President Trump in May, a number of diplomatic sources of the Japanese government said that Japan had conveyed its idea of opposing South Korea's accession to the US government. South Korea's "World Journal" said on the same day that after Trump proposed to expand the G7 summit and received a warm response from South Korean President Moon Jae-in, Abe intervened to prevent it, and the South Korea-Japan relationship, which has been inextricably intertwined on historical issues, may once again face a new diplomatic war.
