On the morning of November 17, Chen Hong, vice president and secretary general of Shanghai Energy Conservation Engineering Technology Association and director of Shanghai Innovation and Energy Conservation Technology Promotion Center, was invited to give a special report on "Opportunities and Challenges in the Context of Carbon Neutrality" for the Theoretical Learning Center of Anyi District Committee of Tongling City, Anhui Province. Yao Guiping, deputy secretary of the Anyi District Party Committee and mayor of the district, Lu Feng, chairman of the District CPPCC Committee, Dong Xiaofeng, member of the Standing Committee of the District Committee and secretary of the Political and Legal Committee, Wu Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the District Committee and director of the Propaganda Department, and nearly 200 relevant principal responsible persons of the District Development and Reform Commission, the Economic and Information Bureau, the Housing and Construction Bureau, and the Science and Technology Bureau attended the meeting.
At the report meeting, Chen Hong, vice president and secretary general of the association, gave a systematic explanation from the aspects of the national double carbon background policy, the opportunities faced in the double carbon background and how to act, which has both theoretical knowledge and specific cases, which has a strong pertinence, foresight and guidance for achieving the "double carbon" goal.
On the realization of the "double carbon" goal, Yao Guiping, deputy secretary of the Ngee An District Party Committee and mayor of the district, stressed that the realization of the "double carbon" goal is not only a decision-making and deployment requirement of the central government, provinces and municipalities, but also an important trend of medium- and long-term development in the future, and a major historical opportunity to achieve high-quality development of Ngee An District. All levels and departments of Nghe An District should take this special study as an opportunity to further improve their political standing, adhere to Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization as the guide, continuously enhance the sense of responsibility, mission and urgency of doing a good job in "double carbon" work, strengthen the research on "double carbon" work, integrate green concept and "double carbon" work into all fields, levels and the whole process of economic and social development in Nghe An District, and effectively grasp the realization of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality as a major political task in hand and shoulders.
