"I Want to Be a Rapids" "Hungary" Petofi

I would like to be a rapids,

A small river in the mountains,

On a bumpy road

Passing on the rocks.....

Just my lover

It's a small fish,

In my waves,

Swim around happily.

I would like to be a desolate forest,

On both sides of the river,

Fight bravely against gusts of wind...

It's a little bird,

In my dense

Make a crow between the branches and chirp.

I want to be a ruin,

On the steep rocks,

This silent destruction

It doesn't make me feel bad...

It's a green ivy,

Along my desolate forehead,

Intimately climb the edges to rise.

I would like to be a thatched hut,

At the bottom of the deep valley,

On top of the thatched hut

Battered by the wind and rain...

It's a lovely flame,

In my furnace,

Pleasantly and slowly flashed.

I would like to be a cloud,

It's a gray flag,

In the air of the vast desert

Lazily wafting around...

It's a coral sunset,

Leaning against my pale face,

Show bright splendor.
