List of award-winning works, according to the official public account of Zhejiang Archaeology.

The selection results of the "2020 Zhejiang Archaeological Outstanding Achievement Award" sponsored by the Zhejiang Archaeological Society were announced a few days ago, and a total of 17 works were awarded, including 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes and 8 third prizes.

Among the award-winning research achievements, many of them are related to Ningbo.

Among them, the "Briefing on the Excavation of Yu's Tomb in the Sun Wu Period of Yuyao Cave Lake, Zhejiang" published in the 9th issue of Cultural Relics magazine in 2020 won the first prize of the archaeological bulletin. It is reported that the tomb is located on the southern slope of Huangjia Mountain in Xiaohu Village, Yuyao Economic Development Zone, Ningbo. In 2017, with the approval of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the then Ningbo Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, together with the Yuyao Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics Protection and Management, carried out a rescue excavation of the tomb.

Yuyao Cave Lake Sun Wu period Yu clan tomb.

According to the briefing notes, the tomb suffered many thefts from the Tang Dynasty to modern times, and only a small number of celadon fragments and printed hard pottery pieces were found, but the brick chamber was well preserved, and a variety of inscription bricks containing chronology and identity inscriptions were unearthed. For example, the chronicle brick "Yong'an Seven Years Tai Shi Jia Shen March Yu Clan Made", the identity brick "Yu Clan", "Wu Gu Pingyu General Duting Marquis Yu Jun", "Lady Poyang Lei Clan Quande Broadcast", "Lady Wu County Chen Clan Fengli Pure Shu", Ji Yu Brick "The Gods Are Bao Wanshi Not Published" and "Descendants Blazing Sacrifices passed down" and so on.

From the chronological inscription, it can be seen that the tomb is no earlier than the "Seventh Year of Yong'an", that is, 264 AD. "Yong'an" is the sun wu jing emperor Sun Xiunian number, "Yu Jun" and "Yu Shi" and other inscriptions indicate that the owner of the tomb is a member of the Yu family during the Sun Wu period. Combined with other archaeological information around the cave lake, it can be seen that the cave lake is a family cemetery of the Yu family during the Period from Sun Wu to the Southern Dynasty. As the head of the four surnames of Huiji, the Yu clan was active from the late Eastern Han Dynasty to the early Tang Dynasty, and exerted an important influence in the political, cultural and other fields, and Yuyao is also known as "a history of Yuyao, half in the Yu family".

According to the archaeological briefing, the tomb is the highest-ranking tomb of the Six Dynasties found in Ningbo, which provides important materials for studying the burial customs of the Sun Wu period in Ningbo and the local Yu family.

In addition, 5 of the 6 award-winning archaeological papers are related to Ningbo. For example, the second prize-winning Xiang Ming's "The Neolithic Revolution in the South CA.7/6000-2000BCE: Majiabang, Hemudu, Daxi, and Songze Cultures", which analyzed the archaeological discoveries of the Neolithic period in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River from 6700 BC to 2000 BC. The dry-column architecture of the Hemudu site, which represents the level of Neolithic architecture in China, is a chapter that cannot be bypassed; Liu Tuanhui's "Preliminary Exploration of Zhejiang Salt Industry Archaeology", which is also the second prize for archaeological papers, explores the long history of salt production in Zhejiang with the discovery of three salt industry sites in Wenzhou Dongtou Jiumuqiu, Taizhou Yuhuan Qiantangqiu and Ningbo Daxie in recent years.

There are also three archaeological papers that won the third prize, namely Sun Guoping's "The Foundation of Jiangnan Culture and Marine Culture - Archaeological Discoveries at the Hemudu Site and the Great History of Zhejiang", Zhang Huaqin's "Examination of the Ancient City of Yinxian County" and "Archaeological Research on the Remains of the "Hai Silk" in Ningbo City during the Song and Yuan Dynasties".
