At that time, Chen Zhuo Laozu saw that the two small dolls that Du Shi was carrying were all extraordinary, and said in amazement: You have two dragons sitting here. After sighing twice in amazement, he stroked his beard and read: "Mo Dao has no son of heaven today, and he will carry the son of heaven on his shoulders." "Drift away.
At that time, Du Shi picked the two brothers Zhao Kuangyin and Zhao Guangyi, so she even recognized the extraordinary nature of her son. Sure enough, in 956, Zhao Kuangyin served as the envoy of the Dingguo Army, and Du Shi was also given the title of Lady of Nanyang Commandery because of her status as a wife. In 960, Zhao Kuangyin launched the Chen Qiao Mutiny and seized the Power of Later Zhou and established the Northern Song Dynasty, and when he returned to Kyoto, Du shi just received news of his son's ascension to the throne. She remembered the prophecy of the Xiangshi when she fled the wilderness, and she was not too surprised, but said with satisfaction: "My son has always had great ambitions, and it is true." ”
After Zhao Kuangyin became emperor, Du Shi was honored as the empress dowager, but Du Shi did not see much joy, and when Wen Chen saw it, he advised her: "The minister often hears that his mother is noble, and your son is now the emperor, why are you still unhappy?" Du Shi was worried: "I have heard that it is difficult for the king, the emperor is above all the people, and if the country is well-governed, the imperial throne is respectable; but once you lose the ability to control the country, it is impossible to become an ordinary person again, which is what I am worried about." It can be seen that Du Shi is also a far-sighted mother, so he can raise the two emperors Zhao Kuangyin and Zhao Guangyi.
Later, Du Shi was old and his health deteriorated, when the Northern Song Dynasty had not yet achieved unification, and when she was seriously ill, she had been worried about the reasons for the fall of the country in Later Zhou, afraid that her son would repeat the same mistakes. On her deathbed, she asked Zhao Kuangyin if he knew the reason why he could get the world, and Song Taizu said that it was caused by his parents' accumulation of virtue, and Du Shi educated him: "No, it is only because the later Zhou Emperor Chai Rong let the children succeed to the throne, if there is an elderly emperor in the later Zhou, will the world still have your share?" He also carefully instructed Song Taizu to pass the throne to his younger brother Zhao Guangyi after his death, so as to ensure the longevity of the Great Song Dynasty. Song Taizu wept and bowed his head in response, so there was the famous allusion of the "Alliance of the Golden Kuai" in history.
In 961, Du Shi died and was posthumously honored as Empress Mingxian, and a year later, according to the ceremonial law, she was posthumously honored as Empress Zhaoxian and buried in Anling. This woman has bred two emperors, and has an extremely important position in the life of Zhao Kuangyin, the grandfather of the Song Dynasty, and even influenced the change of a dynasty, which shows that she does have political wisdom beyond ordinary people and is a very legendary woman.
