More is on

Jet Li is bright and beautiful in people's eyes, but it is not smooth sailing, there are many bitter times, in a telephone interview, a reporter once asked me a very interesting question: Jet Li, you have been smooth sailing all these years, how did you become so powerful?

This reporter, I certainly didn't make any serious preparations before interviewing me. First of all, I've never had it easy, and I have a nickname among my friends called "the survivors who have died a hundred times." My father died since I was a child, my family was too poor, I had to join the martial arts team, relying on a meager subsidy every month to support the whole family; starting at the age of 11, I won the national martial arts championship for 5 consecutive times, and at the age of 18, I made "Shaolin Temple" overnight, but immediately, the next year I broke my leg and almost became a waster; it was hard to wait until the "Huang Feihong" series of movies sold well, my agent was shot by the underworld, and my career fell into a trough again...

Not to mention, when the Indonesian tsunami was launched in 2004, I almost lost my wife and daughter, and when the flood was raging in front of your eyes, how many people faced that kind of inner panic and reluctance?

It is also understandable that the people who ask this question have probably only known me in the movie, and feel that I am the tough guy in the movie, with special skills, from the spirit to the body are naturally strong. In fact, I was just an ordinary person made of flesh and blood, and even more vulnerable than many people, for a while, I thought about becoming a monk every day.

However, a senior monk at the Shaolin Temple did not agree with me in doing so, because monasticism could not fundamentally solve the problem, and the Buddhist family also paid attention to the practice of joining the world! Later, when I went to Hollywood to develop, he asked me to remember a sentence: all difficulties are to help myself become stronger! It doesn't sound like a blessing.

Sure enough, when I got to Hollywood, things didn't go well, although Taiwanese boss Yang Dengkui spent hundreds of millions of yuan to help me build an image and create opportunities, but the arrogant Hollywood did not accept me, a Chinese who was only 170cm tall. I endured until one time on the set, the director threw the script in my face and coldly asked me: Do you not understand English, so you did not understand the script?

That night, I called the monk. He said lightly: You have suffered a lot over the years, but look back and think about it, are you strong now, or are you strong in the past?

I was stunned, thinking about my own experience in this half of my life, indeed, those difficulties now seem to be worthless, but at that time, why not force myself to have no way to escape? It can be seen that difficulties are indeed making me stronger, at least, making my ability to bear more and more strong!

Since then, I have no longer been afraid of any predicament, and I even have a "welcome" attitude towards both inside and outside the predicament.

My friends all said that I was crazy, but I knew in my heart that this was just cultivating myself in difficulty.
