He was still a platoon leader when Sanwan was adapted, and he jumped off a cliff during the Long March and miraculously survived, and was later awarded lieutenant general

In the famous "Three Bays Reorganization", he was still a platoon leader, during the Long March he led his troops to block the enemy army, in order to defend most of the evacuation, jumped off the cliff in the case of the whole regiment, and then miraculously survived... In 1955, he was awarded the rank of lieutenant general.

He was the founding general, Lieutenant General Han Wei.

Han Wei was born in 1906 in Huangpi, Hubei Province, and served as a soldier in the Yeting Independent Regiment in his early years and participated in the Northern Expedition. After that, Han Wei retired from the army to work, and in 1927, he joined the army again, serving as a squad leader in the guard regiment of the General Headquarters of the Second Front Of the Fourth Army of the National Revolutionary Army.

In the autumn of 1927, the guard regiment of the General Headquarters of the Second Front Army participated in the Autumn Harvest Uprising in Xiangganbian, and Han Wei officially became a member of the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army. In fact, Han Wei joined the Communist Youth League as early as 1924, and joined the party in 1926, and he was already a comrade in the party, but this could not be made public at that time.

After the failure of the autumn harvest uprising, there were not many people left in Han Wei's company, the company cadres were basically sacrificed, and there were only about a dozen soldiers left, and Han Wei, who survived the disaster, led the surviving fighters to find the chairman's team and stationed in Sanwan Village, Yongxin County, Jiangxi Province, and participated in the famous "Three Bay Reorganization", Han Wei was appointed as the platoon leader of the 2nd Platoon of the 2nd Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Regiment, 1st Division, 1st Division, 1st Army, Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army.

After that, under the leadership of the chairman, Han Wei went up JinggangShan and marched to gannan and western Fujian, making great contributions to the creation of the central revolutionary base area, and successively served as deputy captain and guard platoon commander of the mixed brigade of the Red 4th Army, commander of the 5th detachment of the 2nd Column of the Fujian Red 21st Army, chief of staff of the Fujian Military Region and commander of the Independent 8th Division, and commander of the 100th Regiment of the 34th Division of the Red Fifth Army.

In September 1934, the fifth anti-"encirclement and suppression" was frustrated, and the Red Army had to decide to implement a strategic shift and go to the west of Xiang'e to meet the Red Third Army and the Red Sixth Army, and then began the Long March.

After our Red Army successfully broke through Lao Chiang's three blockade lines and entered the Xiaoshui and Xiangshui areas on the border of Xianggui, it triggered an even more frenzied encirclement of the Red Army by Lao Chiang. On November 12, 1934, Lao Jiang appointed the Hunan warlord He Jian as the commander-in-chief of the Xiangyue-Guibian "Pursuit and Suppression" Army, and Xue Yue of the Central Army as the "Commander-in-Chief of the Former Enemy", commanding 9 divisions of the Central Army, 7 divisions of he Jian of the Xiang Army, 4 divisions of the Chen Jitang Department of the Guangdong Army, and 5 divisions of the Li Zongren and Bai Chongxi Departments of the Gui Army, with a total of about 300,000 troops in 26 divisions, and jointly encircled and suppressed the Red Army, with the intention of eliminating the Red Army on both sides of the Xiang River.

The fierce battle on the Xiang River thus began.

In order to ensure that the Red Army crossed the Xiang River into western Hunan Province, Han Wei's task of the 34th Division of the Fifth Red Army was to serve as a rearguard division. To stop the tail of the enemy, cover the Red Eighth Army through the Su River, Pao River, and then be the rear guard of the whole army; in case of being cut off by the enemy, return to Hunan to develop guerrilla warfare.

The Red 34th Division, which was in charge of the task behind the palace, under the leadership of division commander Chen Shuxiang, blocked the position for three days and nights, and after all the commanders and fighters of the Red 34th Division fought bloodily, delayed the attack of the four integrated divisions of Zhou Hun Yuan's army, and played a crucial role in covering the crossing of the Xiang River by the Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, and the fraternal troops on December 1.

The Red 34th Division, which had completed its mission behind the palace, was surrounded by an enemy force five times larger than mine, and in the next breakthrough battle, the division commander Chen Shuxiang and most of the soldiers died heroically, and the 34th Division was almost completely destroyed. Han Wei's 100 regiment, which was behind to cover the withdrawal of troops, was only a dozen people left. In order not to be captured alive by the enemy, the Red Army soldiers of the 100th Regiment jumped off the cliffs on the mountain.

Fortunately, Han Wei, the leader of the 100 regiment who finally jumped off the cliff, miraculously survived.

It turned out that after Han Wei jumped off the cliff, he first landed on the top of the canopy of a large tree, then bounced onto a vine, and then fell into the soft grass, although he fell unconscious at that time, but did not hurt his body. After the enemy withdrew, he woke up, and then found that Li Jinshan, a signal officer of the 5th Company of the 100th Regiment, and Hu Wenxuan, the political commissar of the 3rd Battalion, were still alive.

When they tearfully collected the remains of their fallen comrades-in-arms, in the midst of pain and hunger and thirst, fortunately they got the help of a kind person, Wang Bunsheng, a villager in Xiexing Village, Mochuan Township, Xing'an County, and gave them some food and drink to survive. Unfortunately, there were two cliff-jumping survivors, Li Jinshan and Hu Wenxuan, who were killed in the enemy attack.

After the enemy searched the mountains, Han Wei disguised himself as a common man, picked some mountain goods to sell in Xing'an County, and at the same time took the opportunity to inquire and find the whereabouts of the large troops.

Two months later, Han Wei moved to Wuchang to live with his brother's house, but within a few days he was recognized by Zhang Lianhua, a traitor who had been engaged in a strike struggle in Anyuan a few years ago. In this way, because of the traitor's whistle-blowing, Han Wei was sentenced to ten years in prison by the enemy and imprisoned in the Wuhan Army Prison.

After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in full swing, in accordance with the party's united front policy and through the organization of representations, Han Wei returned to the revolutionary ranks and finally came to Yan'an and returned to the chairman's side.

In 1955, Han Wei was awarded the rank of lieutenant general and three first-class medals. On April 8, 1992, General Han Wei, who was known as the "Son of Sanwan", "Cadre of Sanwan" and "General of Sanwan", died at the age of 86.
